Leslie Jo Huddleston
I was a ballet dancer for most of my life. I play the piano, acoustic guitar, and bass guitar. I love modelling and being creative with my shoots! I went to school for massage therapy. I have a wonderful fiance, who also has the name, Joe.
Leslie Jo, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I love to model and stay up to date with the latest health and skin care trends. I began modelling for a friend of mine who needed help promoting her new photography business!
Who is your inspiration in life Leslie Jo? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is my fiance. He is my accountability partner in all things.
We all make mistakes Leslie Jo; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish I would have been more honest with a photographer of mine about how I felt about the quality of the pictures. I was disappointed with them, but I tried not to say anything. I should have lovingly told her the truth.
Leslie Jo, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I keep Pinterest boards to organise my wardrobe/makeup/hair ideas for each shoot that is coming up! I also make sure of having things written on my calendar.
Please tell us, Leslie Jo, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
One time, I had introduced a new model to a photographer I was working with. I had to arrange both of our wardrobes for the shoot, and that was very difficult to keep organised. It turned out great, though!
Leslie Jo, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
Often, a photographer will disagree with me about a makeup look, so I will be prepared to change looks if they don't like mine, but they usually end up seeing things through my perspective!
Leslie Jo, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment is when I was working with a different photographer, and she kept changing my hand positions and telling me how to pose. I thought I was doing an awful job...but two seconds later, she says, "You are the best, most professional model I have ever worked with!"
Leslie Jo, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I always get to be creative! The photographers I have worked with are very open to suggestion from me, so I am blessed.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Be yourself, and be confident. Without confidence, you will not be pleased with your work.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I would love to model for clothing, makeup, or skincare brands! I have not had the chance to do so, yet!
