As a mother of two boys, I have dreams and aspirations. I do not use my children as an excuse for why I can't, but they are my reasons why I MUST accomplish my goals!
Lauren, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is art. I enjoy creating. I aspire to inspire woman and men all over the world to never give up on their goals.
Who is your inspiration in life Lauren? How do you keep inspired?
My children, mother and sister, inspire me. I stay inspired because I know that I am not finished yet. I plan to leave a legacy for my generations to come to be proud of!
We all make mistakes Lauren; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I first started modelling, I was a bit antisocial. Some people can consider that mean. I would keep to myself and not involve myself with others. I wish I would have been friendlier, which would have resulted in stronger relationships with the other people involved with the projects.
Lauren, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I make sure that I have a clear understanding of a clients' goals before I start any job. What is most important to them, is most important to me. Ultimately, I like to exceed expectations.
Please tell us, Lauren, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I did a hair show where the client required me to wear a very large, very heavy headpiece. In addition to that, the dress I wore was very long, and my heels were extremely high. I had to practice away from everyone by myself for a while to figure out a way that I could make all of that work and still give the client a great presentation. It worked out, and they loved it!
Lauren, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I worked the North American International Auto Show a few years back for Audi. My job was to stand there and look good. I took the liberty of learning about the car that I would be with, and it was a good idea. I was able to get a Lexus lover to switch over to an Audi lover. It took a lot of facts and personal testimony, but it worked!
Lauren, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I walked in a fashion show for Detroit's Little Black Dress charity event. The event benefited CARE House of Oakland County. The CARE House is the leading resource in the prevention of child abuse and neglect in Michigan. Anytime my efforts can give back to the world; it is a proud moment!
Lauren, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Recently, I was asked to participate in a photo shoot for designer Patricia Hollis of the Marsa Alam Collection for Style Chicago's Daring Design Challenge 2017. My job was to embody Cadillac's new concept car, the Escala. I had to be very creative in the way I posed and the emotions I portrayed. It worked out great; she ended up being a finalist!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
In order to be successful in modelling, always remember that it is not about you. Your job is to bring a client's vision to life. In order to be successful in anything, be pleasant and easy to work with. Build relationships and network like crazy!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I definitely plan to collaborate with amazing fashion brands, creatives and talents!
