I am focused on details and am interested in experiments with construction and creating my patterns, colors, and manipulate with the structure of the fabric to obtain my vision using traditional and contemporary techniques. In my work, I like to combine different types of fabric to create unexpected matching. My interests also extend around graphic design as well what help me experiment with my fabric patterns. Each project is improtant to me. I am always put my heart into it — That's why in my collections you can find pieces mostly sewed, dyed and constructed by myself. I think of my future client and about environment am trying to build individual and functional fashion based on short line and natural fibers.
Laura, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?
Since I remember I love drawing painting and do all kind of artistic things, so probably is my destination. It's part of me; I always knew that I must do something that will be connecting with art AND creation.
Who is your inspiration in life, Laura? How do you stay inspired as a Fashion Label?
There is no one particular person who constantly inspires me as a designer. It's a changeable thing. In the beginning, for sure was Madame Gres, I admire her for her diligence and honesty. But am also impressed by Carolina Herrera for her class and style. And the third one, Anne Sofie Madsen, who is a super individual, creative and untypical designer. Probably these three women have something to do with my approach to design. I am constantly looking for my way of expression. I like to take inspiration from nature, culture, life, and social issues, and more.
We all make mistakes, Laura; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
It's really hard to say all mistakes teach us something about ourselves and probably without it; I couldn't become a person which I am today, so its really hard to regret
