What is unique about me is that I am a mom of a three-year-old, I am in the Air Force Reserves as a Master Sergeant, and I have my Masters degree in Psychology, and I am a Makeup Artist.
Lataura, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is to reach people on so many different levels and spread love and peace throughout. I started modelling by being the ugly duckling growing up and show people I can model and once I was in front of that camera I fell in love!
Who is your inspiration in life Lataura? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is my mother. She is so strong she is superwomen to me, and I pray I'm half the women she is. I stay inspired my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ because through him I can do all things!
We all make mistakes Lataura; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I'm not a very confrontational person so I can't recall a time where I was involved in a difficult situation about modelling
Lataura, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
By trying my best and always being open with s client and not stretching myself further then, I can. Honestly is the best policy, right?
Please tell us Lataura, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I was in a fashion show with lots of models and lots of designers, and at the time so many designers liked my look and wanted to use me in the show, and I had to make that tough decision on who I could walk for and they way o prioritizes it was based on who had the most beautiful spirit. I'm a spiritual person, and when my spirit meets a beautiful soul I know it was a reason we were linked up
Lataura, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
When it comes to makeup! You often have to allow the makeup Artist to see what you see so being a makeup Artist myself I can usually persuade them to see my vision.
Lataura, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest model moment was walking in a fashion show for Kevin Hart that's when I felt like wow I made it somewhere, finally!
Lataura, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Doing a ninja-themed photoshoot. What was exciting was it was something different because you don't see African American women playing the role of a ninja. What was difficult was trying to do some ninja poses. We did have a blast
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
It cost money to start. Not everything that is free is always good!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes definitely! I would love to collaborate with other models, music artist, skies the limit.
