Kimmieplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?

Kimmie. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am Vietnamese American. 20 years old. 5'5" yes I know I'm short. But I dream to be the first international Vietnamese American model.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Kimmie. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I want, and dream, and plan to be the first SHORT international Vietnamese American model.

Kimmie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I started getting scouted on Instagram by photographers who would travel to shoot me TFP. I fell in love with being in front of the camera. And I researched women like me; short, Asian, and I found none. All Asian models are portrayed as exotic sex objects. And all submission requirements are to be of 5' 7" or taller. I was none of that.

Who is your inspiration in life Kimmie? How do you keep inspired?

I aspire to be more like model Tia Nguyen. Or like blogger Weylie Hoang and Jenn Im. I aspire to be a strong, outspoken Asian woman who others can look up to realistically.

We all make mistakes Kimmie; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I was once offered a contract from EI Model Management, and because of low self-confidence I turned it down. I now regret my decisions, and I wish I had taken the offer. Now I would be more confident than ever.

Kimmie , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I make sure I contact the client immediately after receiving their messages. I also make sure to Write down all of they're requirements/needs for the shoots. I also make sure to tell them straight forward what I am comfortable with.

Please tell us, Kimmie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

This happens quite often where I will be booked back to back with shoots, and I find it difficult to organise of remembering each one. Which is why I started bullet journalling, I write down everything and make a list of it all.

Kimmie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I am asked to do nude shoots all the time. And they will say anything they can to persuade you, but I never give into something that makes me uncomfortable. Even if it's "the only way, an Asian woman can be famous," because I simply don't believe that. I don't have to show my boobs or privates to get attention. I'm very outspoken, and I've made it clear many times what I'm comfortable doing and what I'm not.

Kimmie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I was featured in Atlanta's Bonheur 2017 Summer Fashion Magazine. Yes, it may not sound that amazing, but to me, it means I've accomplished so much.

Kimmie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was at a lifestyle shoot with about three other models, and we were all in heels. I noticed that because of that no one wanted to try any other poses aside from standing. So I jumped up on the stairs, climbed to the top balcony and sat up there and looked down at the photographer. She loved how different it was.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Don't let anyone tell you that you're too short or you're too fat, or you're of the wrong ethnicity. Don't let anyone tell you that because you're of a certain ethnicity you should do a certain thing. You can do what you want with the way you want. You just have to love it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I've always dreamed of collaborating with fashion brands like Express, Revolve, and any in town clothing boutique. I love the style of Express and Revolve. But I also feel it's important to boost the market for small businesses.

Now for the best part Kimmie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
