Kerry please tell us your talent/work rate per hour?

Kerry. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
As of now, I have been modelling for a year and a half, and it has been quite an interesting journey. I have worked with various clothing, lingerie, and swimwear companies in addition to some creative shoots for portfolio expansion. I also do some amateur photography which I feel has helped me become a better model since I have a better understanding of lighting and angles. If you would like to see some of my modelling work, my Instagram is @kurryious.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Kerry. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am half Asian and half Hispanic. Even though I appear full Asian, I can speak Spanish fluently. Born and raised in Texas then later moved to California. I am also a body piercing lover; currently, I don't have any, but I used to have 13. Currently in school majoring in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Health Science.

Kerry, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

This is actually a funny story, but I need to start with some background information. The area I'm from in Texas there are no Asians, so my sisters and I were the ones that looked funny even though we're only half. With that in mind, I never had much self-confidence so modelling was always a dream of mine but one that I thought I could never accomplish and therefore I also hated being taken pictures of. So I got my first modelling gig because I met the owner (a lady) of a swimwear company at a Chainsmokers event in LA that I went to as a birthday celebration for one of my best friends. He was trying to talk to her because she is really beautiful, but she ended up talking to me and inviting me to a shoot for her company later that week. I was so close to cancelling on her because I was so nervous. But I told myself that no one ever grows as a person by remaining in their comfort zone, so I went! I had no idea what to do and was trembling from how nervous I was but, she was very nice and helpful and taught me how to pose.

Who is your inspiration in life Kerry? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration in life is definitely my grandmother. She never took anyone's nonsense, was a hard worker, and very independent. I've noticed many people tell my I have those qualities; I also appreciate those qualities in other people. However, the most significant area where she inspired me is that she was always looking forward to the future like if there are great things waiting ahead. That rubbed off on me, and now I also feel like the future has many things in store.

We all make mistakes Kerry; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Yes, I agree, we're only human, and we all make mistakes, but my modelling career hasn't been long enough for me to have done something that I regret. Additionally, I am very courteous and always ask photographers for permission regarding their photographs, so I haven't had any problems so far.

Kerry , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

As a model, I believe the only things you could do when there's a lot of clients is to handle each one in the order they were received while remaining professional and courteous.

Please tell us, Kerry, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model? One of the times I had to be extremely strategic regarding modelling was this one day that I had a lingerie shoot in the morning, a shoot for a swimwear company second, then and underwater creative shoot. This day needed extensive preparation. I had packed water, snacks, extra makeup, makeup brushes, hair products, and accessories the night before. I also had to calculate the amount of time needed to drive to each shooting location in addition to adding in traffic and pit stops if needed. After 11 hours of shooting, it was very exhaustive but a pretty
Usually, the photographers are pretty open minded about poses and will just say let's try it and see how it looks. However, once in a while they will question my poses. I just say let's just take a shot and see how it looks; they always say ok then see the shot came out good, so they no longer question my poses.

Kerry, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I guess the proudest professional accomplishment I have is that the people and companies I have worked with are usually surprised that I've only been modelling for a year and a half. I am also very easy to get along with and have fun modelling, so the people I have worked with before want to work with me again in the future.

Kerry, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
It was a little difficult to think of a concept. Usually, the photographers or companies tell me what kind of mood and style they are going for, so that is what I'm used to. One time the photographer let me pick the style and concept, however, once I found something I wanted to try out it went pretty smoothly since I have always been into fashion and photography. We had a ton of fun with the concept, and it was something unique and colourful.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Some advice I would give to an aspiring model is to definitely keep in mind time management and preparation. There are many things to prepare. Depending on the style of a shoot like if its business casual, casual, sporty, formal, swimwear, etc. There are many videos and pictures one could go over to have an idea of what kind of poses to do. Time management is also vital because you don't want to be late to a shoot or plan it poorly also practice your poses ahead of time. One needs to keep in mind how long it takes the hair and makeup artist to complete their tasks in addition to how many outfits you are going to model if you are going to be scheduling multiple shoots in one day.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
That would definitely be something I would like to do. A few brands I would like to work with would be some cosmetic companies like MAC, e.l.f. Cosmetics, or Artist Couture. I have never worked with a cosmetic company before so that would be something new, fun, and a great experience to have.

Now for the best part Kerry! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
