Firstly Kermel, how would you best describe yourself?
Kermelplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?
I am a model, filmmaker and creative artist. Based on each project, the rates are different.
Kernel. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am a very bubbly, positive, outgoing, outspoken, and hard working women. I love to speak up for those who are voiceless. I major in film production and would like to make films that can change the way people may view the world by sharing stories of those who are unheard or silenced. I also model and would like to continue making art.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Kermel. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I laugh all the time and in the most awkward moments. Every time a room is a dead silent or a bad situation is occurring; I just find the awkwardness of the moment funny. I am also extremely clumsy. So wherever I go, I'm bound to trip at least three times. I have the worst luck at times that I have to just laugh off the pain.
Kermel, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is to create art that everyone can relate to so that it can either heal their pain or let them know that they're not alone. I aspire to be a role model for young women. My goal is to be a successful filmmaker and a model. I began acting when I was younger then I was encouraged by my acting teachers to model because of my height. I was very shy when I was younger, so I stopped. But then I got signed into a Talent Agency, which made me want to start doing it. And over the years, I grew confidence and began really enjoying photoshoots. It really helped to work with creative artists because they showed me that a picture isn't just a picture. It has the power to display so much.
Who is your inspiration in life Kernel? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is Will Smith, Rihanna and Tupac. I love all that they stand for and think they really changed the pathway for others. They have all contributed creatively through music or films. What I really respected was all that they did through their platform. They help, inspire and motivate others.
We all make mistakes Kermel; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I remember when I was younger, I had to get my makeup done for a fashion show. And I was absolutely shy and insecure during that time, and I told the makeup artist I didn't like it. Looking back at it, I realised every look has to be different. I can't stay in my comfort zone if I want to excel.
Kermel, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I usually try to shoot with as many people as I can, but if someone reached out to me before the other, I go with the commitment I made first.
Please tell us Kermel, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
To get signed, I tried to get as much experience as I possibly can. I tried to shoot with as many photographers with as many looks as they requested.
Kermel, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When filmmaking, I tried to explain my vision in the best possible way. I had to persuade them that this certain look would work better than another.
Kernel, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think the proudest moment I had when I had to shoot with a set on, I was extremely nervous and shy at first. But throughout the shoot, I realised how bad I wanted to look as best as can be, so I had to talk to myself to have more confidence than I previously did.
Kermel, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was able to be creative in my most recent shoot; we did a 90's look. I had hoop earrings and a fur jacket on in 90-degree weather (since I'm from Texas). We shot in an elevator. It was hard holding it open and walking in everytime to get the shot right, but it ended up working really fast.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I think to be confident in who THEY are and embrace what THEY have. It's important to love yourself and your look instead of wanting to be someone else. And more than anything, I would advise them to never give up on their dreams.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I'm really looking to collaborate with as many people. I'm hoping to collaborate with a fashion brand and to represent their clothing line.
