I am currently majoring in finance and double minoring in marketing and business management at Baruch college in Manhattan. Doing so gives me a very strong understanding of businesses and how the business world works, because at the end of the day everything is a business including modeling.

As far as modeling goes I was recruited in a very natural way, due to my personal style and aesthetic. My style is very mood based and I usually dress how I feel. Sometimes I visualize an outfit a day or a few days before I wear it, those are usually my rarest fits. I’m an overall creative person who creates and curates music. I’ve also been indulging in directing lately, because when I get to where I know I will be, I know that being able to direct will make bringing my creative visions to life in a far more accurate fashion.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Kenechi . Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am unique because I wasn’t supposed to be here. The doctors told my mother while she was 9 months pregnant with me that there was a very low success rate, however thanks to her faith in God and belief in herself I made it here safely. As a result I don’t take anything for granted and always make a conscious effort to leave my mark and let my presence be felt in each and every moment.

Kenechi , what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passions are music, directing, and inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers. I aspire to be someone who people look up to and copy in order to become the best versions of themselves. I started modeling after accompanying my friend Noah who’s signed to a popular agency based in NYC, invited me to some shoots.

Who is your inspiration in life Kenechi ? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration in life is Kanye West, simply because him and I both possess the ability to attain whatever we put our minds to. I keep inspired by staying in the moment and appreciating the little things that most people overlook. For example people can walk down the same street in Manhattan and never notice or appreciate how beautiful the city is, because they are so focused on getting to where they are going. As a result they miss out on the beauty of the moment.

We all make mistakes Kenechi , we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I would have entered the industry a bit more graciously, but I’ve learned from my mistakes and now confident humility is one of my best personality traits.

Kenechi  ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I would go about prioritizing my clients needa by always keeping in mind that no matter how big the client or company of clients, they are all run by people. I say that to make the point that people truly appreciate when you pay attention to what their vision is and when you buy into it while staying true to yourself, anything is possible.

Please tell us Kenechi , about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had to be strategic to become a model, because to an outsider it would seem like I was put on, but in reality I’ve always known how to position myself in the right place at the right time, therefor opening a lot of doors and providing me with numerous opportunities.

Kenechi , please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I worked at an ice cream shop the business was booming during the summer time, but business sharply declined when winter brought along the cold weather. As a result I suggested to the owner to start selling coffee and hot chocolate. At first he was resistant because it was going to cost him money, but after I stayed persistent and provided him with numerous examples of how it would benefit him in the long run, he finally gave in. As a result his revenue tripled in 3 short weeks.

Kenechi please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment is every accomplishment, I say this because I truly try to appreciate every event that happens in my life because it allows me to continue to learn and grow into a better person who can inspire others and impact the world.

Kenechi , please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
During the recording process of my debut single, I struggled to make the recorded version of the song sound like how I envisioned it in my head. However after sometime I let go of that ideal and just focused on making the best work of art that I could, and as a result the song came out better than I ever could have imagined.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?

Be you, I know it sounds cliche, but there truly is only one you, and when you focus on being you instead of trying to be someone that you’re not, other people who don’t quite know themselves yet will copy you to try to find themselves.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am looking for collaborations with organic musicians, fashion talents, creative brands, creative directors, basically everyone and anyone who is genuine and serious about making their vision a reality and are willing to get to work ASAP.
