Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Keara, how would you best describe yourself?

Our readers would love to get to know you more Keara. Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a model. Growing up I really struggled with my image and finding myself. Within the last year, I was talking about how there was still apart of me that wanted to be a model and then I discovered the agency that I am currently with now was looking for models in my area. I decided that I should go for it and within months I was officially a model the feeling is unlike anything I've felt before. I really want to show the world that all it takes to do what you love is just to be confident and believe in yourself because at that moment if I hadn't I would have always wondered if I could even be good enough to be a model. Within the last year, I have met so many wonderful photographers and people it's just such a good feeling to be able to travel and do all these things. Opportunities that I couldn't even imagine before.

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Keara?
My goal is to try new things that I haven't before and strengthen my portfolio. My ultimate goal is to be an international model, and at the end of the day that's where I see myself ending up when I achieve all these goals.

How do you communicate with people Keara? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I'm very good at communicating with other people. I'm very friendly and bubbly. I can follow directions well and am always open to criticism anything I can do to make someone's job easier and improve on my job and myself.

If you had to do it over again, what would you change Keara?
If I could do it over again, I'd probably try to get into modelling sooner. Personally doing this has given me the drive to eat a lot better and take better care of myself and if I had started that at a younger age or understood that I feel I wouldn't have struggled so much image wise growing up.

Who is your hero Keara, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
I know most people probably say this, but my hero would have to be my mom. She was a single mother with three as I grew up and she always taught us to believe in ourselves and we can accomplish anything we set out minds too. I constantly changed what kind of sports or dance I wanted to be in, and she was always there to help me find the best of what I wanted and push me to do my very best. She was so supportive when I first told her about wanting to get into modelling and still is very supportive of what I do.

How important are creative education courses Keara? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
I think they're very important. I haven't taken any yet but I am looking into a few, and I'm hoping that I'll find them useful.

Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
My biggest tip would probably be just to remember to be yourself and have fun. Being in front of a camera can be very nerve racking at times but never underestimate yourself. Whoever you're shooting for wanted you for a reason be confident and have fun!
