Katie has graduated from School of Visual Arts with a degree in photography and is continuously immersed in new ventures related to her craft.

Katie Grammes has experience with independent companies and large corporations based in New York City such as Bloomingdales. From galleries on Lexington to theater productions on off Broadway along various film sets and magazine publications, Katie has proven to live photography through her love of it.

When she was younger she painted and staged photographs for her work. Slowly the craft came before the shot by the age of 16 and Katherine has been shooting photography ever since.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Katie. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am a genuine individual who likes to embrace all mediums to make art straight from the camera. I only use photoshop to edit out pimples and such.

Katie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

I began shooting images for painting and it slowly reversed.

Who is your inspiration in life Katie? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is stories in my life along with fairy tales, mythology, and poetry. I write poems and make sketches in a book to continue inspiring myself to use my creativity.

We all make mistakes Katie, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I feel there are no mistakes, just lessons and things to steer you into your path. I would not have the work I have now without my life story.

Katie ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I see what they need and what date they need it by. With each project I make goals for myself to get each part done by a certain date.

Please tell us Katie, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

I have been in hard times where health did come first. But once I had my spinal surgery after a truck hitting me while I drove. I made goals for myself to keep my creativity flowing while I healed my body.

Katie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When someone pitches something to me I give them a few ideas of how to make it work. Some are what they would want more and some are of what I see more through my eyes. Sometimes they choose a style they personally desire where my work would flow with it or sometimes they see my style as a perfect fit.

Katie please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
I would say the recent galleries I have gotten into because I get to see how people personally react to my work. I do love being published in a magazine because I can keep it forever but the moments of seeing faces I will always remember.

Katie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am always pushing and challenging myself with my work. Even in simple shots I try to push my creativity.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Photographer?

Listen to your voice but first learn it. Once you can stand behind it the world will see you.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I always love to collaborate with designers, art directors, and such. It gives a new mix and a new voice.

Now for the best part Katie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
