a  Model near your area?

I have been a model for 7 years and only in the last year have really started taking it more seriously in the fashion world. I am really great at creative and artistic as I have an artistic eye and brain. I love sporty and girly fashion alike. I have a tendency to prefer looking androgynous but I also enjoy and encourage my feminine side. I have worked with only a few brands so it's hard to really narrow down my style to one or two ideas.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Kathryn. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am very unique in a lot of ways, and people can usually notice the external things first. I have very distinguishable moles on my face which I refuse to cover with makeup often. I also am from Halifax, and I carry a defective gene which causes Huntington's disease.

Kathryn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion and inspiration in life stem from my mother who died when I was very young and left a legacy for me to fulfill for her. To be happy is more than enough of a dream for me. I started as a model at 19 I was scouted in Montreal and I actually had no way of being contacted at the time and was only visiting so I moved to Toronto and started applying to agencies.

Who is your inspiration in life Kathryn? How do you keep inspired?

As I mentioned above- my mother guides me and also speaks to me sometimes. I stay inspired by family and friends who follow and love my work. I also love to follow comedians and models alike on Instagram and facebook cara delavigne is by far my favorite.

We all make mistakes Kathryn, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I had to start saying no to people about 6 months back and I guess I would say that I wish I knew a nice way to say "I don't like your work" honestly I don't think there is one.

Kathryn, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I keep a calendar and categorize my emails so that work is highlighted..eventually, I may need a separate email account but until then. I have a planner which I log communications with work folks.

Please tell us, Kathryn, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I have had to rent a car to get to a runway show because I was going from an appt. 3 hr drive away so basically, my budgeting is at risk as well as mental health sometimes as things can be VERY last minute for models

Kathryn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
During workshops, I tend to lean into poses and people who get frustrated sometimes will express their anger with me. I tend to be very good at dismissing these people or ignoring depending on the level.

Kathryn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Going to NY on my own last year and getting to my editorial shoot with Yenifer Ubiera.

Kathryn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am almost always creative with my work, this is what I love about freelance.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

If I can do it, you can. SERIOUSLY look up the different types of modeling, almost anyone should try.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Fashion, commercial, fitness or editorial. Parts as well on occasion.

Now for the best part Kathryn! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
