Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Kathryn , how would you best describe yourself?
Our readers would love to get to know you more Kathryn . Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
My passion for makeup lies within the high-end fashion industry. I adore creating alternative looks on models. My spare time is spent surfing the net for inspiration which I then recreate into my own artwork. My career feels like a holiday every day I feel I'm beginning to live in my dreams. I adore making people feel good about themselves by enhancing their natural beauty features. Working with fashion stylists and designers is not a walk in the park, I do my utmost to create the makeup they are looking for to compliment their lines and models. Makeup artistry really is my life.

How do you communicate with people Kathryn? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
The majority of my booking is done online. Sometimes this may turn into a telephone conversation other than that next time we have contact is face to face. I'm really bubbly and enthusiastic I can create happiness from any situation. I'm so patient I have to be, I have to wait for photographers to get the right shots, tweak makeup here and there no really it takes a lot of patience. I'm so open with requests I scare myself. I've worked in fashion, urban and glamour industry there's really not much I haven't seen ;-)
If you had to do it over again, what would you change Kathryn?
I would go back ten years and do my training much earlier then I'd relive this life all over again. I'm really happy makeup is my happiness.
Who is your hero Kathryn, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
Soppy alert! My partner is my hero. He's been there when no one else believed in me he's pushed me and given me the strength to carry on. Without him, I feel I would not have got this far.
I've a long road to go yet, but I'm excited I can't wait to see what the future holds.
How important are creative education courses Kathryn? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
They are so important I mean why else would I learn where I can receive makeup discounts at? :-) jokes aside, there are many inspirational MUA's on the courses, and I get amazing tips and advice as well as keeping up with the next new trends which are a must.
Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
BELIEVE in yourself. You are your own cheerleader never give up hard work pays off, and the most important advice I can give is be patient.
