I am 20 years old and in my second year of studying Aviation at UniSA to become a Pilot. I'm hoping to join the airforce once I complete my degree.

I currently model for a South Australian Agency doing both runway and Editorial shoots. I love fashion and modeling and my Instagram says it all!

Would you like to complete our full Editorial interview or skip straight to uploading your photos? (12 more interview questions).

Our readers would love to get to know you more Katarina. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Something that is unique about me is the wide range of things I enjoy and how different they are!

From wanting to be a Pilot to doing modeling part-time as well as playing netball, working and enjoying other hobbies such as art I participate in so many different activities to fill up my schedule as much as possible!

Katarina, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

Modelling is definitely one of my passions but not my only one. Flying has been an important dream of mine and is now coming to be my reality and future career.

I started as a model from a young age, competing in Look of the Year and other small competitions. I then got scouted by some agencies and began some work doing runway and photo shoots.

Who is your inspiration in life Katarina? How do you keep inspired?

I have many inspirations, I never base my motives on one individual as everyone is given different circumstances.

My number one inspiration is, of course, my mum. She has done so much for me and I owe her everything in life. She is always there for me and is the most supportive person, no matter what I do.

We all make mistakes Katarina, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Being a model, there are always situations that can potentially go wrong and cause stress!

One thing that I can think of off the top of my head is being a bit more strict on myself and only doing things I'm comfortable with. I think I'm this day and age people tend to think that being a model means doing whatever you're told to do with no questioning. Well, I disagree somewhat with this and have come to realize I have a right to only do what I believe is okay for me and what I feel comfortable doing.

Katarina, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Working for an agency, I never really have much trouble with prioritizing as my manager does it for me luckily!

But I have had a few situations where clients have overlapped and I've had to choose one job over another. And the way I do this is dependant on the situation and which one will truly benefit me in the long run.

Please tell us, Katarina, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

To be honest- I have to be strategic all the time to meet all my priorities! With also working casually I have to plan my diary months in advance and have no room for a change of plans or mix-ups! Luckily I am usually a very organized person and always plan in advance but things don't always go to plan and sometimes it requires you to think on your feet!

Katarina, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
An example of this could be seen at a bridal runway. My agency is very open to opinions from the models and I'm very grateful for that as I am able to give input that I think as a perspective of a model would work better. Sometimes when you're told to do something you just know won't work you can explain this to your client or manager and it really helps make the situation a lot easier.

Katarina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Wow, this is definitely a hard one! I would have to say my proudest moment would have been making it through the Miss Universe Australia State Final. Although I didn't get picked for national finals I am so proud of myself for sticking through the process and taking out so much experience and self-confidence! I never saw myself competing in Miss Universe and I don't regret it at all!

Katarina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
One time I was able to be creative with my work would be doing a boudoir Photoshoot! This was definitely a first for me and I was so nervous at the beginning! But by bringing my own lingerie I was comfortable in I was able to be myself in front of the camera and have a bit of fun outside my comfort zone.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

One big piece of advice I would give would be to be confident in yourself. This is the hardest thing for any model- no matter how good you are or how professional you are. You will always get comments and negativity from people, but you just have to be happy and proud of yourself to realize you are better than all those comments!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am happy to collaborate with others and open to any as long as they are legitimate and match with my criteria. I do a lot of swimwear, sportswear, fashion and accessory collaborations but am open to trying new things all the time.

Please add any photo credits for the photos you uploaded so that everybody can get recognized. Please fill this out properly,
