I am from Victoria and moved to Vancouver where I studied global fashion marketing at Blanche Macdonald and recently got my diploma.
I started modelling at the age of 17 for fun and started to take it seriously a few years ago. I have been freelance modelling since for a few years now in my spare time. I love modelling and everything thing about a photoshoot from the planning to the styling. I love being in front of the camera and recently styling other shoots.
I won't let my height and tattoos stop me from modelling. I hope the fashion and modelling industry will change their views on model restrictions with this generation being so bold.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Karly. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I have about 16 tattoos; I got my first when I was 15. I love painting, especially the female figure.
Karly, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I started when I was 17 modelling for my friend for fun, she loved photography and taking photos so we would cool places around Victoria and spend the day taking photos. It escalated from there, and I have been modelling ever since. I hope to have a career in modelling and fashion!
Who is your inspiration in life Karly? How do you keep inspired?
Kat Von D is a huge inspiration to me. She's an amazing artist and entrepreneur. She models own her tattoo shop and beauty brand that is animal cruelty-free! Kat keeps me inspired, and if I need more inspiration, Instagram or Pinterest always has my back.
We all make mistakes Karly; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Not that I can recall
Karly, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I am very open-minded, and I love trying and learning new things especially to do with modelling. If a client has a specific idea or vision, I will do my best to make that happen.
Please tell us, Karly, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I have had back to back shoot with the different concept and photographers. I pre-planned my wardrobe and hair/makeup. The shoots went great.
Karly, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
One of my shoots the photographer wanted me to wear a specific outfit that did not look the best with my petite frame so with my fashion background I suggested a different look and they loved it.
Karly, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I recently got my set published in NIF magazine and soon VOLO Glam online and Xpressions magazine printed. I am very excited to order a copy!
Karly, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Most of my shoots I get to plan my wardrobe and makeup, it gives me a lot of control, and I know what looks best on me.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Don't just say yes to every photographer than offers to take your photos. You are worth more and deserve a great portfolio by professional people!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am open to any collaborations from editorial, commercial, beauty and I can even style other shoots.
Now for the best part Karly! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
