Born in 1990 and an only child, I had a lot of time for self-contemplation. So I think in very different ways to most people.
Justin, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I've always loved fashion for its beautiful structuring of a picture or an idea, and I want to freeze those beautiful ideas I time for people generations ahead to see. Many great photographers changed the world I some way through a single photograph or set of photographs, and I aim to one day do the same
Who is your inspiration in life Justin? How do you keep inspired?
I look at all the biggest names in the industry such as Mario Testino etc. and try to imagine what my life would be like in their shoes, being respected by everyone. I'm determined to make that dream come true so keeping the thought at the forefront of my mind keeps me motivated.
We all make mistakes Justin; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I was once working with my mentor, Calvin French, to take photos for his magazine which he then did not get because he refused to pay me. I wish I had given them to him for free.
Justin, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I would prioritise according to the most amount of work required per client to least.
Please tell us, Justin, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I have a day job, and doing shoots sometimes causes my job to suffer, so I offer my photography to the store for free to make up for the hours of work I miss.
Justin, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
A model I shot didn't think a location would work out well, but after he saw the pics, he retracted his remarks.
Justin, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a photographer was when I finally picked up my camera after two years and decided to turn my passion into a career seriously.
Justin, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
A location I once shot at had a lot of mud on the floor and razor grass, so walking through it was very painful and annoying, but I had some smoke bombs in my bag and decided to combine it with the environment to give a really lovely effect.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Never give up, trust your gut, and constantly seek improvement (i.e. criticisms from everyone)
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I would love to collaborate with some of my inspirations such as Mario Testino, Vogue magazine, Adriana Lima, Andreja Pejic, celebrities, and brands like Armani, Versace, Jean Paul Gautier, Balmain, etc.
