I'm a professional carpenter, but most of the time I spend is with art in its all forms
I'm also a musician, I sing in few metal bands, and I also take a lot of promo pictures for groups, and even a live gig photo shoot. Music is very close to my heart and is with me all the time. Mostly quite melancholic, and metal.
I will instead take "artistic" photos more than a textbook kinda way. I like to have a lot of feelings and something that makes a viewer think of the picture longtime.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Jussi. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
As I said before, I work with music and musicians a lot. So that is my speciality. I think that also few of my "special skills" are that I'm quite easy to talk to, and I understand different ideas quite fast. Also, I'm quite creative!
Jussi, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
My passion is art.
To create something that speaks to the person looking, or listening to it. To have them think of what they see. Or think of what my music wants to tell them.
Photography is quite a new art form for me that I've always wanted to get into, and now I have that opportunity, and I love it!
Who is your inspiration in life Jussi? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?
My inspiration is nature. Sometimes I do long walks in the woods with my camera and see what forest has to offer for me. I see different shapes of boulders and rocks; I see beautiful patterns in plant leaves, drops of water falling from the trees, a small stream that I follow for some time, movements of the animal, birds flying over the treetops.
And it is also important to listen to nature, the sounds that trees make, animals, waterfalls, lakes and everything that lives there. Sometimes a complete silence is also what I need to concentrate.
We all make mistakes Jussi; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
That I didn't start photography earlier, but that is in the past. I don't like to stare moments that have already passed me. I want to live in the present, and plan the future!
Jussi, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I'm very easy to talk to, and most of the people that I meet, say that they a relaxed in my presence. I'm good at listening to people and to plan together to create a proper photo shoot!
Please tell us Jussi, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
Of course, family and friends are my priority. But not too close to them come music and photography. They are both equally important to me, and I like to spend a lot of time with both of them.
Jussi, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I really can't think of any specific time or place that I would have needed to persuade someone to do things my way.
Jussi, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
I don't have many of them yet. So maybe that is something I get to tell you in the future!
Jussi, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
Some of the promos shoot that I made where I needed to operate the smoke machine, and tell three different people when to jump at different times, that was quite a challenge.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?*
Keep learning, all the time. And learn from your mistakes. No one is ready.
