Jules Frkovich: JFG Designs Jewellery
I’m the owner/designer of a luxury jewelry brand JFG Designs Jewellery. My company is based in Vancouver Canada. My vision was to create an affordable, glamorous jewelry line for the everyday Fashionista who wants to define herself in the world of fashion.Jewelry that is sophisticated elegance with a hint of glamorous. I’m inspired by colorful art, abstract in particular, architecture, flowers, nature and unique shapes in our world and then transform it into jewelry that is art, defining your style. I use only the finest quality of materials in Swarovski crystals, and 14kt gold filled and sterling silver. I’m a self-taught artist, and I love to travel the world and draw inspiration from those experiences. I participated in Vancouver fashion week for nine seasons and was discovered by British Vogue magazine and was featured as an emerging designer in their jewelry designer profile. I have also been featured in many other UK magazines such as Tatler, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour and Class Brides branding more globally. I also sponsor many charity events in Canada, donating jewelry to the silent auction, raising money for their cause and making a change in the world. JFG Designs Jewellery loves to make women look glamorous all around the world.

I’m a self-taught artist with a super creative mind. I like to express myself through art.

I’m passionate about art and travel. I aspire to be a global luxury jewelry brand. I combined my love for travel and art and created a jewelry line for the every Fashionistas who like to define their sense of style in the world of fashion.
Who is your inspiration in life Jules? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is women who have made a huge success in life like Princess Diana and have made a change in the world doing charity work. I keep inspired by drawing on the beauty of our world that God gave us, like nature and my passion for living life to the fullest.
We all make mistakes Jules; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Designer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I’ve learned that being patient and a good listener is important if dealing with a challenging situation.
Jules, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Time management and putting what’s important first. Each client matters and fulfilling their needs and meeting their expectations, so they are satisfied.
Please tell us, Jules, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?
At the beginning starting the business, understanding how each season works, the creative process of designing your pieces and presenting them in time for the season. Planning well in advance and doing what’s priority, is very organized.
Jules, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Usually working with a photographer and having them understand your vision. They are an artist too, but they also need to understand what the designer wants to achieve when representing the product in a photo shoot.
Jules, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want with share to everyone. What is it and why?
My favorite moment would be being discovered by the UK magazine British Vogue to be featured as an emerging designer in their jewelry designer profile. They select from many designers around the world, and it felt great to be one of them. It still makes me happy. They are super kind to work with too.
Jules, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Custom designing jewelry for a bride and bridesmaids. Understanding the type of design they want me to create. It’s exciting as it’s such a special day for the bride and you are sharing that with her by making her look glamorous in my jewelry.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Designer?*
As a designer, you are sharing your passion and creativity for art. It’s important to make that connection with the people who buy your product. Creating a product that defines their style in fashion. Also learning everything you can about the business, be willing to work hard, and be kind, honest and professional, it goes a long way.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I do collaborations with other fashion designers for photo shoots or a fashion show. The latest collaboration was with a local designer Shelley Klassen who designs beautiful dresses, and she had a client wear one of her dresses with my jewelry to the Oscars in 2017! I also like to work with emerging fashion designers as they are so talented and the clothes are amazing!
