Jodie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is living life to the fullest. I want to say yes to as many things as possible and eventually, open up so many opportunities that will lead to a better lifestyle. I was approached on Instagram about applying to become a model, and I thought YES! What have I got to lose! ....and I found out I love it!
Who is your inspiration in life Jodie? How do you keep inspired?
Know what my WHY is in life keeps me chasing my dreams! ...my why is to live a better life, know can change your life but yourself! So that's exactly what I am trying to do.
We all make mistakes Jodie; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I'm afraid I am very new at being a model so don't have many experiences but I do remember my first shoot I assumed the photographer would fix my clothes if it didn't look right that some don't.... so I know now to also use my initiative when presenting myself in photo shoots in order to get the best pictures.
Jodie, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I am very organised and write everything thing down in a diary.... people I speak to and on what day and if I need to follow up. I am unsure exactly how I would do this as I've not had many clients as yet but I am certain my organisation skills would help me out here.
Please tell us, Jodie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Again I am sorry I've not had many castings o answer this but still hope to be considered. But when I fist wanted to become a model I had a lot of agencies interested in representing me and o had to be very strategic in making the decisions of which ones to pick. I looked for the ones that offered the most value and worked in a way that suited me.
Jodie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
My portfolio shoot I successfully convinced the photographer a good look that I thought I was able to pull off and an outfit that would complement the look.
Jodie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Again not had many castings so I'd have to say just going to modelling in the first place and travelling a long way for something that could turn into nothing and waste a lot of money.... I still went for it and so glad I took the leap and found out I was good at it. I loved the pictures that came out of my first shoot and was very pleased to hear the amazing feedback that I worked well with the photographers and was able to have various looks.
Jodie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
When I told a stylist a certain hair style would look better with the makeup given. It was exciting going with my gut and trusting myself, the photos then came out great! It was difficult discussing to a professional a difference of opinion within something they specialise in.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Just go for it! But have a stable job or funding behind you to be able to invest in yourself. Also, be prepared to travel for what you want.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Unsure but up for anything yes!
Now for the best part Jodie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
