I'm an up and coming print model/actor in Nashville, TN. My mother put me in modeling when I was younger and from what I can remember I did pretty well in it. She passed away when I was ten years old. After she passed away, I began my football journey and strayed away from modeling/creative side. I thank God every day though for football because it taught me one of the most important lessons in life .. Mental Toughness!
This one trait that has been instilled in me is one reason why I know I will get where I want in life. I played football and majored in business at James Madison University. Currently, I'm building a resume with my talent agency J.L David Talent located in Nashville.
My brother is also a photographer, which will make my journey just a little less stressful. I plan on doing some great things and working with a lot of great people shortly. I can feel them all being magnetically pulled to me at this very moment! Have a great one!
Our readers would love to get to know you more JeVontae. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I've seen many different walks of life, and I carry with me a piece of all of them. I love to see and try new things to see how my body will adapt to it.
JeVontae, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is to help others and most importantly my family. I will do this through currency trading and modeling/acting. My mom were the first person to introduce me to modeling as a child. If she was able to stay with us, I probably would be a lot further along in my career.
Who is your inspiration in life JeVontae? How do you keep inspired?
My mother is my inspiration. She had so much potential and a kind heart. I stay inspired because I feel she is in me and I want to live out what she wanted me to do.
We all make mistakes JeVontae; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I had a photographer hit me up, and Instagram and I blew him off. I wish I would've responded promptly.
JeVontae, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I go by first come first serve. Of course, if I have a bigger name approach me, I will clear out some things.
Please tell us JeVontae, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Well, every day has to be strategically planned because being a model is all about taking care of your body. So, I have to make sure I'm eating right and making time for the gym. Trying to do that, study day trading, and be an insurance agent can be a daunting task from time to time.
JeVontae, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Every time I shoot I go through this because you have to persuade photographers sometimes to shoot certain ways. After they take the shot they know, it was a good idea though!
JeVontae, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment so far would be shooting with my brother because it is a bond that grows every time we go out and shoot!
JeVontae, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
It is always exciting being creative with shoots. One time my brother and I were shooting for a local clothing company and we 're just out in this abandoned building which was pretty difficult because it wasn't too clean in there. So as you can imagine, we kept on tripping over stuff, but the pictures came out great!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
I say to be successful as a Model you have to have an attitude that nothing is going to stop you. Everybody will no doubt you in the beginning, but they will be the laughing stock in the end.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Clothing brands and anybody doing student films I would love to collaborate!
