I am very confident and love being this way, but what would make me more confident and happy would be to see a lot more women be confident about themselves and their bodies.

I am very shy, but also very goofy and corny. I love simple things. I don't open up easily, but once I do, you will see how fun and corny I can be lol :)

I am probably one of a few that like their job (remember I said job if you love what you do it is not a job in my opinion). Yes, I work a 9-5, get up early just like every other employee, get off work, get my six yr old son from son and go home. As all single mothers know, I barely get time to relax since I am running my boutique all by myself. As I was saying, I like my job (I mean I should since I went to school to study accounting lol). I just always wanted to start my own business and be my boss!

I could go on and on about myself, but then this would turn into a book about me! Haha :) One last thing some of my passions are helping people, music/singing and fashion. Oh and I'm 28 years old. I should stop typing now lol.

Jessica, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?

Well, fashion is one of my passions, as well as music/singing. I aspiration to be happy. I feel if I am happy, all the other things I want in life will already be there. If I can truly be happy with myself and with my life then I know I will be at peace.

It took me about 2 1/2 years to start my business. Meaning I was planning and thinking about it for 2 1/2 years. I did research and applied for a business licence. I finally launched my boutique on September 2, 2017. I was very proud of myself because two years ago I would have never thought I'd be the owner of a business!

Who is your inspiration in life Jessica? How do you keep inspired?

I am my inspiration. Of course, I have people who I am inspired by like my mom, my son, my family, fashion stylist/designers, etc. I need to inspire myself in order for me to believe in myself and never give up! I look back at all the things I've gotten through in my life, and my strength and courage so inspire me!

We all make mistakes Jessica, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Fashion Label, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Well, I just started in the fashion world a few months ago, so I don't have any major mistakes yet.

Jessica, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

It is first to come, first serve with me. I don't put any clients before the other regardless if they are family or friends. I answer questions as quickly as possible and to the best of my ability. I ship out products quickly, and in the order, they are received. If a client is not satisfied, they can contact me directly to get the issue resolved.

Please tell us Jessica, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Label?

I recently had a networking event I attended and had to be very strategic. It was my first event as a vendor since I launched, so I had to make sure my layout was nice and welcoming. I had to study how I could talk to potential customers to get them actually to want to purchase from me. I had to organise my clothing and know what item cost what price. I was also running a sale that day, so I had also to know the sale price of each item. There was a lot I had to strategise and study so that I would not make my brand look bad, unorganised, and untrustworthy.

Jessica, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I don't do too much persuading at my job, but I can give you a fashion moment. A lady was wanting to find an outfit to go with her shoes she was going to wear on her birthday. She asked if I had any pieces that were a specific color. I had a few items, but after seeing the shoes, I show her picture of another item that was not that color. She didn't think the shoes would look right with the outfit. After I explained to her why the outfit would go well with the shoes, showed her a couple of pictures of the colors together, gave her advice on what accessories might make it work even better together and gave her a slight discount on the outfit she was sold!

Jessica please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I've not been getting the amount of sales I would like to get, so I started to feel like no one supported me or paid me any attention. I recently made a status talking about how people overlook my boutique and me. I received a lot of love and support from people commenting on the status. Some I never met a day in my life! To see that a lot of people supported me and noticed me made me feel amazing! Yes, I would love to get more sales, but support means everything to me!

Jessica, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

Every day I get to be creative with fashion. It's exciting because you get to showcase your items and your brand to the world. It's difficult because you have to learn what attracts people to you, what gets their attention and how to keep your target market's attention enough for them to want actually to buy something.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?

Never give up! Believe in yourself and your craft! Be persistent and consistent! Keep going even if you feel like you are failing and things won't get better! Things will get better if you keep pushing and keep working as hard as you can!

Anybody can be successful. It's all about who is strong enough to push past the failure and get there!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes! I am always looking to collab! I am open to any types of collaborations, brand ambassadors, models, stylists, photographers, graphic designers, any designers, fashion bloggers, etc. etc. :)
