I am a self-taught photographer. Started shooting almost a year ago. I have my BA in Psychology and a minor in Sociology but am going back to school to get a Professional certificate in photography.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Jessica. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
I am 24 years old and live in Orange County. I am shy at first, but once I get comfortable I am pretty down to earth and funny sometimes haha. I love being able to put feelings and moods into my work. I have been trying to get creative with my work. I would like for the individuals I work with to feel super comfortable and get into their feelings and just let go!
Jessica, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I want to work with great brands that symbolise equality and freedom and real raw emotions and people. I believe my whole approach with raw emotions and getting down with your true feelings and showing that through a photo comes for my love of psychology and people, so I try to connect the two.
Who is your inspiration in life Jessica? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?
I love Jenavieve Belair's work, and she is so amazing! She was the reason why I fell in love with lifestyle photography. Ever since I picked up a camera, I feel like I see the world differently. I drive and see cool spot to shoot at, or I love someone's style and get so inspired.
We all make mistakes Jessica, and we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
Not being so assertive and letting people walk over me and taking advantage of me.
Jessica, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I'm very friendly, and I feel as though I am approachable and fun to work with! I love that people always feel comfortable opening up to me.
Please tell us, Jessica, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
I always write things down on a calendar or else I would go crazy! I do pretty well prioritise all different aspects of my life.
Jessica, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way to work successfully.
I was able to give them positive outcomes or the situation and was able to change the mind of their decision.
Jessica, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
Getting to be a part of a showcase in Los Angeles. I felt so proud of my work and myself!
Jessica, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
I was able to get creative and weird with a girl I met through Instagram through an original's group. It was so fun because she loved it as much as I did and we were able to work together and come up with fun ideas!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?*
Just keep shooting and be patient.
Now for the best part Jessica! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
