I am driven and ambitious - I have a multi-faceted personality, and I try to satisfy every version of "me" :)
Jenna, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I want to feel creatively fulfilled. I was stopped on the street by a photographer in Boston when I was in college, that over many weeks, eventually convinced me to give modelling a try. We still work together!
Who is your inspiration in life Jenna? How do you keep inspired?
I love Gwen Stefani :) I love her style, her upbeat attitude, and her ability to continue to stay relevant!
We all make mistakes Jenna; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I have always managed myself, which is concurrent with my personality, and I've had times that I wished that I had been screening jobs more carefully. There are people out there that are not who they portray themselves to be, and it can waste your time! But overall, I've been very lucky.
Jenna, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I like to be clear about the objective of the project, and I'll do necessary research beforehand. I'm also always on time and prepared to work. It's just respect for the job!
Please tell us, Jenna, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I have a very busy schedule! I work five days at my regular job, then shoot the other two days - anywhere from Boston to Baltimore, sometimes flown out from that area as well. I have to stay organised, but I've always been busy, so it comes naturally!
Jenna, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I think empathy goes a long way. I work in Human Resources, so I use it often! Sometimes a photographer may have a narrow idea of what they want for a project, but I often do my best work without very tight direction!
Jenna, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My first fashion show would rank up there - my family came, and I got to show them what I'd been working on. But I'm very proud of my portfolio in general - I've worked with such very talented people over the years, and it's almost like going through a yearbook to go through my favourite photos!
Jenna, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I love to shoot on location! You have to work with the weather, the lighting, your surroundings - both inanimate and not! - but when you have a great relationship with those your working with, you'll get great work!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Find your niche. Don't try to be something that isn't you - there's a market for your genuine self, trust me!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'd love to expand my collaborations! In addition to modelling, I have years of retail, wholesale, and marketing experience.
