I am a very cheerful and sociable person who loves dancing, travelling, and meeting new people. I studied architecture during my high school. As I've been taking dance classes since the age of 12 and modelling since my 15th, I've fallen in love with a scene. Therefore I've chosen to study to become an actress. I had studied law for one and a half year but then switched to dramatic arts.

Jelena, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

Modelling is my biggest passion, and I aspire to become an international model. Till now I've been modelling just within my country. I started modelling in a local agency, then was scouted by a StarSystem. I have worked with some photographers and agencies so far, but I am open to new experiences and developing my modelling career on a higher level.

Who is your inspiration in life Jelena? How do you keep inspired?

My friends are my biggest inspiration. They help me to stay positive, inspired, and strong. Travelling, reading, and watching TEDtalks keep me inspired also.

We all make mistakes Jelena; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I've invited a friend Model to go to a very important casting with me. Eventually, she has been chosen, and I was not. I was glad because of her, but sad for me. I wish I'd gone there alone.

Jelena, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I always try to stay professional and to be on time. I am not going to be there if I cannot show up 100%.

Please tell us Jelena, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

The time I had to apply some strategies to try to start growing as a model was when I did detailed research about fashion agencies and the world of modelling. Then I made a list of top agencies and a schedule that included time for collecting and sending my materials to all of them in order to represent myself to them. The strategy has proven effective, as I got few offers. Being persistent is a key factor for me.

Jelena, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

While I was working as a promoter of a Smart Gym fitness centre for children. By being extremely kind and charismatic with them, I convinced many parents to bring their children to the first class.

Jelena, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I think my proudest professional moment was when I for the first time was working as a model on the Montenegrin fashion week. It was really important for me as the first time, and I felt a step closer to my goal.

Jelena, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

When I was doing a runway show for one atypical hairdresser and designer-Kenan Osmanaj. He had a strange concept of a fashion show, and every model had to walk in a different, but creepy, at the same time sensual way. As I had been dancing before, it wasn't a problem for me; I allowed my imagination to be creative and to come up with unusual movements.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

I would advise them to believe in themselves and their dreams, as well as to inform themselves as much as possible about this before moving into it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes, I would love to work with fashion and beauty companies and to be sponsored by some brands as well. It would be nice to collaborate with other models, fashion photographers and agencies too.
