Jefferson Agbebaku

I never really had a particular individual that I looked up to when it came to photography or art in general. I'll like to say that my focus has always been bettering myself as an individual, which forces me to work harder and be better at what I do. So basically I inspire myself.

ABOUT
I am an all round creative. I involve myself in any form of creativity; photography, film making, etc. I work for the All Fly Studios as a creative advisor and photographer.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Jefferson. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I always strive to portray my works in a psychological manner. Each picture has a message. I enjoy listening to other peoples perspective on my work; to identify their viewpoint and how it differs from mine.

Jefferson, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion is art; creativity to be exact. My aim is knowledge, and the ability in portraying that knowledge for people to easily understand. I want to reach a level that everyone will come to understand the beauty of art through its different forms.
I started as a photographer quite some years ago; when I was in high school. I never took a photography course then, but I fell in love with creativity. To me "photography is another aspect of expressing creativity. Illustrating art through images."

Who is your inspiration in life Jefferson? How do you keep inspired?

I never really had a particular individual that I looked up to when it came to photography or art in general. I'll like to say that my focus has always been bettering myself as an individual, which forces me to work harder and be better at what I do. So basically I inspire myself.

We all make mistakes Jefferson; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

So far, I haven't had a situation I regret.

Jefferson, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Before every shoot, I take my time to prepare and schedule for some people that will be available. I leave space for unforeseen circumstances. During the day of the shoot, I take the time to address everyone and let them know the plan for the day.

Please tell us, Jefferson, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Before every shoot, I always take the time to prepare. I sort out everything I need to and always leave space for unforeseen circumstances. And because of this preparation, everything always turns out in my favour.

Jefferson, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

As a photographer, my main goal is to be creative and never discourage any other person perspective, but there are times when a colleagues ideas completely ruin your work. When a situation similar to this arrives, we both work together to produce our separate perspective (knowing that I always plan before hand for unforeseen occurrences). We then evaluate the outcome, and I provide in detail why mine would be the best fit for the subject.

Jefferson, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest accomplishment is being a creative advisor for the All Fly Studios (even though it is still at its developing stage). Working with the All Fly Studios allows me to be creative in anyway that I can be.

Jefferson, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I'll like to say all my works are creative in its way. It's always exciting to interpret your ideas in a way that everyone can see and understand. The only time creativity gets difficult is when you take the excitement away from it. Art (photography) should always be exciting and fun. Sharing ideas with colleagues and interpreting those ideas in a digital or physical way is always pleasing.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

I encourage everyone to always enjoy themselves and know that your ideas/ perspective is never a waste. Being a photographer means being creative and understanding yourself to portray that creativity. So gain knowledge and work hard.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I am looking for collaboration with anyone willing to share their creativity. I'll like to collaborate with known brands and fashion talents.
