I'm a quick learner and a hard worker. Once I was acting in a play in which the director gave me another role the night before the production. I relearned the entire play in one night and did two performances the next day. I fully devote myself to anything I set my mind to.

Jarin, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion is to create art that moves people. I started as a photographer when I was doing a simple project for a class. My dad, who is a photographer, took notice of my talent and encouraged me to keep going.

Who is your inspiration in life Jarin? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is Christ. There is no better artist than Him. When I make art, I reflect His glory.

We all make mistakes Jarin; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

My first client experience didn't go too well. I wasn't as confident in being vocal in what I was willing and unwilling to do. When I had my client sign the model release, there were things on which she wanted me to compromise for us to work together. If I had put my foot down at the time of the meeting, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble when dealing with the client. It's important as a photographer that you know your worth.

Jarin, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Communication and patience is the best way to start! Many times, the clients I work with tend to be nervous and awkward in front of the camera. A good photographer doesn't just take pictures. It's my job to do what I can to make my client comfortable and confident.

Please tell us Jarin, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Sometimes if I'm working with a client who wants a lot of editing done on their photos and I know it will take a while, I will edit one and send it to them just so they can have something to show. That way, they're not too anxious about seeing the photos.

Jarin, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

There was a client I worked with who absolutely would not take direction. Instead of becoming frustrated, I had us take a break, and I showed her the pictures we had so far and let her see for herself why the photos weren't turning out the way they should. When I took the time to explain to her why the photos were not usable patiently, she understood and began to take direction better.

Jarin, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I don't have a proudest moment per se, but I do particularly love when I get a client who isn't too confident. After we take the photos and they see what they're capable of, they become bolder and are more open to trying new things.

Jarin, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

There was another photographer (with much better equipment!) who I got a chance to work with once. I had so much fun. The model I worked with was so receptive to the ideas I had. I got so many usable shots; it was hard to pick which photos I wanted to keep.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Know your worth, be confident, and always remain teachable! Talent means nothing if you have an arrogant heart.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I'd love to do a fashion collaboration. I live about an hour away from Austin, and there are a lot of very nice thrift stores I'd like to partner with.
