ABOUT
I studied Emerging media/ graphic design at the University of Central Florida. I paused my education to further pursue my passion for fashion & editorial photography & business was picking up significantly. I do travel extensively on location to shoot many editorial stories, which is something else I am very passionate about. I love art in general. It speaks a visual language not everyone is versed in.

Yes

Our readers would love to get to know you more James. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

What is unique about me is the way in which I view my muse. When I shoot, my connection is with the soul of my muse. The way they look at me, the way they feel, their vulnerabilities are all told to me through their eyes. Then their body follows suit accordingly.

James, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion is to help others realize the beauty within them. To expose and express different aspects of their multifaceted nature they didn't know exist. My aspiration is to manifest this realization throughout the world.

Who is your inspiration in life James? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is life. The delicacy life exposes you to, the subtleties of the universe and how everything is interconnected and relates to one another inspires me. Art inspires me. Watching friends, family and acquaintances progress in their respective crafts and being able to assist them in whatever capacity possible is inspiring. The struggle is inspiring.

We all make mistakes James, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There was a time when I wasn't as caring and charismatic as I am today when I worked with a colleague and found myself in a shouting match. I regret the situation because if it were today, I would have simply walked away and returned to the discussion when things had calmed down.

James, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

When prioritizing, I tend to go with first come first serve. I do ask for patience as I am only 1 person dealing with several people.

Please tell us James, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

One time I was working with 3 agencies and had 2 personal clients I had already shot for and they all needed their images back as soon as possible. My strategy was to work fast and to work on several images from each client a day. I had to finish at least 5-6 images a day. I appreciate myself for creating this goal because it also created space for me to work more efficiently.

James, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I explained the pros and cons from a different perspective.

James, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Being recognized by the city I live in as one of the emerging artist/ photographers to look out for.

James, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
It was exciting because there were no limitations set and it allowed me to be creatively free. The only difficult or challenging part was deciding on which idea to keep

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Stay focused. Stay consistent. Stay true to your vision and don't falter.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes. Creative collaborations, possibly leading to magazine covers, more bookings, more high-end clients etc.

Now for the best part James! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
