Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Jahnai, how would you best describe yourself?
Our readers would love to get to know you more Jahnai. Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
I think of modelling fundamentally as being about influence. I can generate a message that can extend around the world and throughout growing cultures. Modeling is such a power tool that allows me to lead and influence others, as well as give a deeper insight to the unknown.

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Jahnai?
My goal is to sign with an agency that will build my portfolio and allow me to network throughout the world. For now, I enjoy working with local artist and collaborating on ideas and projects.
How do you communicate with people Jahnai? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I've been working in customer service for six years now, and I have developed patience. I've learned how to handle customers from a diverse background. I apply those skills to any and every job that I do. I'm very opened minded to clients I work with. I tend to build a relationship with clients so that I get an understanding of where their mind, and creative process is at.
If you had to do it over again, what would you change Jahnai?
If I had a second chance to do it over again, I wouldn't overthink so much and just live in the moment.
Who is your hero Jahnai, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
My hero is my mother. She has been in my corner my whole life. I was bullied growing up, and that affected my self-esteem greatly. She has taught me how to properly love myself. Once I found that self-love I was introduced to a new me that I couldn't imagine being without. It took me many years to find that love and develope self-confidence, but I did! It's a day by day process, but it's so worth it.
How important are creative education courses Jahnai? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
Education is very important to me period. I recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor in preforming arts. I'm currently pursuing my masters in business design and arts leadership. These courses have been tremendously helpful in developing my skill and mastering my craft.
Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
If you're just starting out in the industry my advice to you is to make sure you know who you are, what you want, and how to get it! Set your goals and boundaries earlier, so you have no regrets later. Lastly, follow your heart but trust your gut. If you do those things, the opportunities are endless.
