Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Jacqueline, how would you best describe yourself?
Fashion Designer

Our readers would love to get to know you more Jacqueline. Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
As an artist and illustrator, I’ve always designed dresses for myself. I worked on the design of the dresses to make them like wearable paintings. They feature for example: printed images, embroidery and ribbons in various colours and designs. After receiving a lot of compliments from relatives, friends and random people on the street, I’ve started to sell them very limitedly. All dresses are uniquely designed and made by hand in my studio.

Keep interviewing me!

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Jacqueline?
I always try to improve myself and everything I do. I want to use new prints, techniques and ideas.

How do you communicate with people Jacqueline? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
When a client orders a dress, they can always give input on the design, colour and materials used. However, I will always make sure that every dress looks great to me and is up to my standards.

If you had to do it over again, what would you change Jacqueline?
If I had to do it over, I would have studied new techniques sooner as well as invested better equipment.

Who is your hero Jacqueline, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
I would not say that I have a hero. Several designers and artist inspire me by showing what could be possible too. However, nature and everyday life inspire me as well.

How important are creative education courses Jacqueline? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
I’m a professional Artist and went to art school. During this time I learned to improve myself as well as looking and thinking about design differently.

Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
Work hard, never give up.
