ABOUT
I have been a model for over 30 years, I have done catwalk, commercial, swimsuit, lingerie, glamour, fitness and promotional modelling. I started when I was eight years old. I also did a bit of acting and film work.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Ilze. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I have a wild side; I am a total adrenaline junkie, I love extreme sports, bikes, and fast cars.

Ilze, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I have always had a passion for fashion. I think it started when I was about three years old when I changed into four different outfits a day. :-)

Who is your inspiration in life Ilze? How do you keep inspired?

There are so many beautiful older models still very active in the industry. There is still so much work out there for older models; this is inspiring and exciting....age is only a number.

We all make mistakes Ilze; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I think I am one of the very few models out there who can say I have never been in a "situation" with a colleague before; I am truly lucky.

Ilze , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

It is all about input, task (requirements) and output, assessment, allocate and validate. It is a formula that has worked very well for me.

Please tell us Ilze, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had to work long hours...no pain no gain.

Ilze, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I believe we all entitled to our own opinion, but if I need to persuade someone to see things my way I would tell them to put themselves in my shoes and ask them what they would do...it just put thing in perspective that way and normally works, key is to stay calm and talk through thing. I had to do two shoots in one day but knew I wouldn't be on time for the second as I would leave the first in peak hour traffic. I stated that it would be unprofessional. I have never been late for a shoot in the past and had no intention to be that day either.

Ilze, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Being chosen to do a front page cover is always an honour and proud moment. My latest was my Front Cover Shoot with MOLL Magazine.

Ilze, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I would say the first time I did an underwater shoot. It was extremely exciting and different. It was extremely cold that day which made it difficult to fight hyperthermia.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Believe in yourself, be open to criticism, negative and positive. Be professional at all times and never give up on your dreams!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am yes; I am busy working with people from Mexico and LA....watch this space.

Now for the best part Ilze! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
