I'm at unique in my way. I find myself to be an extremely creative person and work well with my hands. I follow fashion trends due to part of my degree; trend analysis is a subject for me. I always try to practice what I learn and try to inspire others. I enjoy up-cycling my old clothes to give them life so I could re-use them and wear them differently as I have a passion for fashion.

An example would be me cutting up old jeans because it's become fashionable to wear distressed/torn jeans. My perspective of life constantly changes as I'm always learning. With being blessed and able to travel, I am always keen to learn about other cultures and try to understand everyone as an individual. I am a thoughtful person, one to make the best of every situation, I can make a little go a long way, and I always try my utmost best to face everyone and every situation with a positive attitude

Hemisha, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Others?

I want to be a buyer for a fashion retailer; I look forward to working within the supply chain industry specialising in fashion. I am working on creating my own business which someday wishes to retire and have my online stores and businesses to sustain my lifestyle.
It's my hobbies that got me to where I am.

Who is your inspiration in life Hemisha? How do you stay inspired as a Others?

I am inspired by many people with different talents such as Matt Staffanina- I love his dancing style. Beyonc̩- her confidence gets me hyped. Oprah Winfrey- her love and generosity for others.
The list can go on. However, I do find myself most inspired by the history of fashion to Why men and women dressed a certain way and the evolution of clothing styles during each era, learning and being able to predict which direction the fashion pendulum will swing — not forgetting The different fashion movements taking place in local communities which influences an individual personally.

We all make mistakes Hemisha; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?

I am one that tends to forgive myself for mistakes rather than being in regret. I believe everything happens for a reason and what is meant for you will be. Every mistake I learned to look at it as a learning curve.
If I had to think deeply, one of my mistakes would include neglecting who I am because I got lost in life while trying to please others by hitting more than I could chew. I tend to over commit myself to more than I can do in limited time.

Hemisha, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?

I'm a peoples person with no doubt. I carry myself politely and attractively. I am a bubbly person, so it comes easily for me to connect with other people, with that said I am quite accommodating to a client. I can withhold a mature conversation. I always seek to do my utmost best in pleasing the other person. I am a strong believer of first impressions go a long way, so I always try my best to maintain a positive attitude

Please tell us Hemisha, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

It's never easy balancing what life throws at me considering the circumstances currently being dealt with. Thank goodness I have a planner which helps me keep my life on track and plan everything accordingly. I try to create two hours minimum a day additional to after class to work on my assignment or make study notes, so when it's tests and exams, I don't feel the need to stress about it. On my off days, I usually try to take on freelancing work as well as on weekends. I maintain a social life by seeing friends once a week or going away for a short holiday. As for family time, it's no issue as I am blessed with a close-knit family that always does things together.

Hemisha, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I recently styled a client for her 40th birthday bash. I aimed at making her feel fabulous and confident being forty. I achieved this by designing her according to her body shape taking into consideration her insecurities. I managed to convince her to overlook some of her insecurities like her legs and arms. She trusted my opinions and gained the courage to wear a v-neck spaghetti string cocktail dress, paired with elegant accessories. I was extremely proud of her and admired how brave she was for dressing outside her comfort zone, showcasing a different side and look of herself.

Hemisha, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Others.

I'm am just proud that I inspire many people. They feel the urge to want to better themselves and feel good. I'm proud that through Instagram, agencies were able to contact me and I have managed to network and be able to earn an income for myself

Hemisha, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I once had an event to plan — a 50th birthday party for 150 people. The theme was great Gatsby. I got creative with my hands and did most of the decorations and set up myself. I also managed to include other details for the client's party like adding a VIP lounge with white couches as the budget became more flexible due to cutting Costs on decorating and setting up.
The difficult part was getting people in the venue on time; however, that was beyond my control.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Others?

A little effort every day adds up to big results some day. Don't sleep on yourself. Stay woke and slay your goals.
