ABOUT
Hello, What I present to you is not my work. What you see, is my life. Born and living in East-Berlin, graffiti had a strong influence on me. I studied textile design at the university of art KHB, but it wasn't until interning at Alexander McQueen in 2012 that I made the personally obligatory link between graffiti, urban art and luxury textiles. Creating graffiti prints for Jean Paul Gaultier recently completes this trajectory.

Heiner, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Illustrator?

#grafitti #urban #luxury

Who is your inspiration in life Heiner? How do you keep inspired?

Making conscious the subconscious realm

We all make mistakes Heiner; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being an Illustrator; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Sometimes I wish I wouldn't always put my whole life into my work.

Heiner, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As an Illustrator, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

First come, first served.

Please tell us, Heiner, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as an Illustrator?

I'm about to focus on my graphic work and give away fashion and sewing to designers.

Heiner, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

Now, I don't fill out all the questions in depth because i know that even myself wouldn't read all this. What matters are the pictures, don't you think?

Heiner, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Illustrator. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Seeing my prints in THE ONE grand show by Jean Paul Gaultier, no-one has ever made my work shine like that.

Heiner, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I'm always creative with my work, specially when I'm restricted.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Illustrator?

Draw.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Of course, collaborations are my speciality.
I'm looking for cross-promotion on socials.
