Her clients leave her studio feeling beautiful, sexy, confident, and empowered… and raving about their experience to all their friends.
On a personal note, Heather is a single mother, Colorado native and a lifelong entrepreneur. Heather is fiercely passionate about women’s issues, namely sexuality and body image, especially when it comes to encouraging women to embrace and celebrate their sensual sides. She truly believes that boudoir photography has the power to make the world a better place, one naked picture at a time.
Heather, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
High school was my greatest inspiration and motivation to start photography. Being in the dark room and watching my creation come alive was both exciting and fulfilling. Since then it’s evolved into the digital world where creativity is endless.
Who is your inspiration in life Heather? How do you keep inspired?
My inspirations stems from past abusive not only to me but friends and daughter. Passionate about women’s issues, namely sexuality and body image, especially when it comes to encouraging women to embrace and celebrate their sensual sides. I truly believe that boudoir photography has the power to make the world a better place, one naked picture at a time.
We all make mistakes Heather, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I have not had the privilege to work with other photographers. However, I do have teaching colleagues. There was a time when proscrastion snuck up on me. Wish I coundve made time to go over the addenda and lesson plan prior to the start of class.
Heather ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I prioritize clients based on need and deliver expectations. Try to do online viewing and ordering the same day and be sure my edits are in on time to order prints and pieces before deadline.
Please tell us Heather, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I am an excellent planner but there are times when creativity is must. When teaching Photoshop or marketing, I make sure to brush up on skills just before the lesson. This takes time and patience as well as planning in advance.
Heather, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Persuading someone is not my strongpoint. Love to make clients feel important and satisfied. For me, being persuasive also involves compromise.
Heather please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moments are being published in magazines and even seeing my logo in a local advertisement.
Heather, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Being creative is something that Comes naturally. Just the other day, I had to reinvent a seat for a client who was going to be taking her image and placing it in a missile. What you’d see in the side of an old war plane. I took my vintage kids truck, stuck pillows on it to boost it up and propped her on it like she was straddling a missile. Coming up with creative ways always ensures your clients satisfaction.
What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Photographer?
Never stop learning and bring each other up.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Always looking for new business adventures and learning new skills.
