Grace Mackey-Natz

I would say being on the cover of a novel. A New York best selling author book. Everyone that reads that story will see you as that character. That's cool! I feel like this is the start of many much more proud moments in my modelling career.

ABOUT
I am 18 years old and I love life! This past year I have had the opportunity to travel to different places in the United States and also The Virgin Islands! I recently spent a week in Park City, Utah where I enjoyed camping and the many beauties of Utah. I have competed in The Miss Teen WI USA Pageant and have placed in the Top 5 with plans to compete again this year. I love to dance and will be teaching dance at a studio this fall. I enjoy modeling and it's really something I would like to pursue even further.  Follow your dreams and live life!

Our readers would love to get to know you more, Grace. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am funny! I like being silly and can laugh at myself! Even though I am a dancer, I can be clumsy and have been known to run into things, but I embrace it! I love animals and I have a dog named  Coco Channel. I am an only child. I recently went to LA with a few friends and did some photo shoots.

Grace, what are your passions and aspiration in life? How did you start as a model?

I started in modeling because I had a lot of people ask me if I was a model or telling me I should model. So one day I sent in some photos, and that's how it started. It also inspired me to be in my first pageant! I competed in The Miss Teen WI USA  and I met so many wonderful people! I made the Top 5 my first year at the age of 15! That year, I learned the true meaning of being Confidently Beautiful!  After that, I started doing more photo shoots and really have enjoyed being in front of the camera.

My passion is Life! I think its so important to live your life to the fullest by enjoying everything and everyone around you! I am only 18. I am young. Right now, there are so many things that I enjoy doing that I can't  narrow it down to only a few. I like to be passionate about everything that I choose to do!

Who is your inspiration Grace? How do you keep inspired?

I think that you can be inspired by everyone around you. I keep myself inspired by surrounding myself with positive and supportive people so that I can be the best version of myself!

We all make mistakes Grace; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model; you wish you'd handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I honestly can't call anything a mistake. I am young and new to the modeling industry. I think rather than calling something a mistake, I try to look at it  as a learning experience whether it be about myself or about something around me. You can always find a positive in any situation.

Grace, when you're working with a large number of clients, it's tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing  your clients' needs?

Again, I am very new to the modeling industry, but as long as you are being honest, true to yourself and giving 110% the whole time, you don't need to worry. Your main priority should just be to do the very best you can and everything else will fall into place.

Please tell us Grace, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I would say when I am preparing for a pageant there is a lot of effort and strategy involved. You are competing against a lot of different girls, so you want to stand out by being the best version of you. Since competing in my very first pageant, I have become more aware of things like what I eat and how to stay active, but like I said before, my passion is life! You have to find a balance while staying true to who you are!

Grace, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I can't think of a specific situation at work, but I can definitely say that I have worked on  "persuading" my parents many times in my life! I work at my mom's hair salon as a receptionist and I model. I'm sure this question will have a different answer down the road... perhaps when I am teaching dance.

Grace, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

The one accomplishment that sticks out to me the most is being chosen to be on the cover of a New York best selling author's novel as the face of the main character in the book! Everyone that reads this story will picture me while reading the book and that is really exciting! I feel like this is the start of many more proud professional moments to come!

Grace, please give us an example of a time you were able to e creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I recently did a shoot for an outdoor clothing catalog, and it was so fun doing things outdoors! I love being in the water and I got to shoot on a paddle board in a swimming suit. I felt very confident and relaxed, while still challenged. It was such a fun shoot! We worked long and hard that day! They changed my look many times and I had a lot of different outfits to model! It took a lot of will-power to  stay energized and creativity to find a variety of poses and looks and I loved every minute of it!

What advice wold you give to the people who want to be successful as a model?

I would say to always be true to yourself and to get in front of the camera as often as you can! You learn so much from every photo shoot you do and every photographer you work with. I would also say that social media is such and important and effective tool to get yourself out there! You'll never know what opportunities could come your way until you try!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

There are so many I don't even know where to start! I love being outdoors. I enjoy yoga. I am passionate about fashion. I  am always up for a great opportunity! People say that I am easy to work with and photogenic! Find me, contact me, and lets work together!

Now for the best part, Grace! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
