Giuliana. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
Regarding committing to something, I am a person with an all-or-nothing approach. For me this only works with complete dedication – after all, my own name is in everything I do, and that’s what I am aware of every day.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Giuliana. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I’m not really sure whether that’s what makes me unique. But it’s a big part of me that is with me in every regard. I am critical and strict with myself, much stricter than with anyone else. I create new tasks and challenges for me all the time; I’d be bored otherwise. And who can you challenge more than yourself? This means that I will persist until I get what I want – until now, I’ve got everything I wanted ;-)

Giuliana, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My inspiration is the little things in life, things that you see every day. In the street, at work, at home. You have to pay attention to detail. At school, there were teachers who tried to make me believe that I would never get far in life. They were right if what they meant was a ‘regular office job’, but those are not really my strength anyway. So, sometimes when I was still in school I knew I would build on my strengths, and a great driving force where these statements by two teachers that are still present for me today. I defied these statements.

Who is your inspiration in life Giuliana? How do you keep inspired?

My own inspiration is the ambition to take the perfect photo. In my work for BRAUN Hamburg, it is my daily challenge to find new solutions and to create something special – that’s what inspires me most.
Apart from that, for me, it is the biggest inspiration to achieve your own goals and to set new ones.

We all make mistakes Giuliana; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I think you can learn something out of every time you fail. During the first two years of my career, I worked as a food photographer, and I would have done a few things differently there when I look back to that now. But I would still say that I learned something from this, too.

Giuliana ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

My biggest priority is always to make the client happy, but as a creative mind, I will never ignore my own creative idea. So I try to combine all these things which sometimes even leads to the client trying something completely new! I feel that first-class work will always convince the client in the end. It is important to focus on both the product and its presentation.

Please tell us Giuliana, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Moving from Düsseldorf to Hamburg was a tough decision for me personally, but for my career as a photographer, it was the best decision I could have possibly made.

Giuliana, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I think that if you focus on the big pictures and always have the best in mind, you shouldn’t need to persuade people to view things from your perspective. It happens automatically.

Giuliana, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
When I became Head of Studio at BRAUN Hamburg. Even though I had to think about it long and hard to make sure I was able to master this new position. It was definitely a dream come true though.

Giuliana, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The most difficult thing for me is when I have an exact picture in mind, and I want to take it just that way. So sometimes I struggle bringing my imagination and reality together, but in the end, it is always an exciting moment to look at the result, and it is exactly what you wanted it to be.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Keep focusing on your dreams and always get up when you get pushed over. The competition in the industry is high, and that’s what you should keep in mind.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Regarding my work as a photographer, I have already found my perfect partner in BRAUN Hamburg. Thanks to the large number of designer labels that we sell, the online shop and creative jobs like taking pictures for our own magazines and image campaigns, my work is very diverse and offers lots of variety every day.

Now for the best part Giuliana! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
