I love shooting landscape photography with people in the pictures
George, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
Apart from my wife, kids and my dogs my biggest passion is photography where I am always striving to develop my portfolio. I was at a dog show one day and someone took a picture of one of my dogs with there DSLR that blew my mind, and from there I was hooked to photography.
Who is your inspiration in life George? How do you keep inspired?
There are a lot of great photographers out there, past and present I can't single anyone out. As to keep inspired all I need to do is pick up a magazine or look up images of portraits and landscapes etc on Social Media and I am ready to go .
We all make mistakes George, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
To be honest I have never had any problems in this career as a photographer as my last position in work was dignity at work and customer care is always priority.
George, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
My clients needs is always the most important thing to me and having a good understanding of what my client is looking for is always key. The best thing I can say is listen closely to my clients and take on board what they are saying as good communication is necessary .
Please tell us George, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
When we are hired to shoot weddings, I am usually at the venue a few hours before the event if I have not been able to access the venue on another day, where I take meter readings and to see what I am about to walk into. To see what equipment I need to bring along with me to ensure everything goes to plan.
George, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I did have one mother in the studio that was telling her daughter how to sit and telling her to smile to the camera to which was not helping . So I ask her if I could show her something and she said yes, I showed her the picture I just took on the back of the camera that she just posed for me and then I directed the pose and took the shot then let her see the difference. And after that the shoot was back in my hand and everyone was happy .
George please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
I guess getting our images posted in people magazine is our proudest accomplishment and for being picked to shoot some well known celebrities for us being self taught photographers is a big accomplishment
George, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
As we live in Scotland having to deal with our weather is always exciting especially when the weather turns bad when you're in the middle of a shoot outdoors with the Scott brothers. Instead of running into the hotel I brought out the big flash and headed into the trees for cover plus as there was a big height difference between one particular couple I had to polity pose them in a way that look good without upsetting anyone .
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Never give up keep improving your skills and always keep looking for your best image .
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes I am happy to collaborate with Fashion talents, creatives and brands .
