Our readers would love to get to know you more Flossie-May. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
What is unique about me is I am not a big known photographer as yet, however, I know that in good time this will become my full-time profession and I am very certain that one day I shall be travelling the globe meeting and influencing individuals.
I am not just the photographer, I also have a great eye when it comes to fashion styling, as well as being quite arty when it comes to make-up. I want to be the photographer who is known to work with one's self with just the model, and also the photographer to work with many to create the perfect shots.
Flossie-May, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I started as a photographer by actually taking self-portraits. Many have always complimented me on my unique look, however, I did not choose to go down the path to become the model. Therefore, I chose to take the photos myself, where I can direct, style and experiment. It was only until I started to upload these photos to my social media accounts back then that it caught the audience's attention. I was always asked how can your "selfies" be so professional? Who took them? Well, the answer was always "Um, I took them myself?"
Who is your inspiration in life Flossie-May? How do you keep inspired?
Testino, Mario Testino.
We all make mistakes Flossie-May, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Flossie-May, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Please tell us Flossie-May, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
Flossie-May, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I had a client, who was very self-conscious. I was honoured myself that they requested a booking with me, as I knew this individual also. I asked myself, "there must have been a reason to why they've booked this shoot with me, why?" but the answer was simple, they liked how just somebody can transform into this work of art. During the shoot, they had started off like a rabbit caught in headlights, frozen and stunned. I thought to myself, what is the natural reaction someone has when you want to hide or your embarrassed? Well, the answer to that is you hide some part of your face somehow, right? The final shots were just so beautiful, and they were so very pleased. And if you are wondering, the confidence out of this individual bloomed, it was so beautiful to watch.
Flossie-May please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
