Our readers would love to get to know you more Fabian. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I try to use abstract colors in fashion attire as well as unique hairstyles to further captivate people. I also acknowledge the multiple talented people I've had the pleasure to work with bringing something new and edgy to an audience.

Fabian, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is to create by using the medium of photography. It's an outlet to further bring awareness to the public that veterans can use what they were taught in an artistic medium. I use the military culture to further my unique visual edginess.

Who is your inspiration in life Fabian? How do you keep inspired?

I have multiple inspirations from renowned photographer David La Chapelle to Orange County abstract photographer Mr. Puig. These artists keep me inspired to further broaden my range of creativity. They keep me out of my comfort zone.

We all make mistakes Fabian, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There are no regrets in my decision making. I feel like every bad situation is a chance to learn and grow. I've had bad photoshoots but somehow over time have been instrumental in reaching a broader audience.

Fabian , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

The military has given me the discipline to go above and beyond. Whenever I think I'm overwhelmed with work and staying fresh with original content I say talk to myself. I tell myself the problems I have now are nowhere near in comparison than being out in a hostile environment. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. It's out Marine Corps mode.

Please tell us, Fabian, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

From making sure my costume designer meets a certain photographer's deadline to choosing the right attire to compliment the environment are all last minute details. The majority photoshoots that are done outdoors are all improvised in fashion attire to compliment the scenario. I'm exceptionally well when it comes to making sour of the moment decisions and has set me apart from the majority of models in the scene.

Fabian, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Given my experience working with animals in my dad's cattle ranch. I was able to learn body language from animals. This experience helps me give good body movement when shooting. I feel that every pose must have a purpose even in the most routine of stances. There are times where I have a photographer request more sensitive demeanor and I explain to him in the most professional manner how the attire will not compliment the stance. I'm grateful to work with people that are not closed minded and always put in consideration of my opinions. After all, I try to give the best professional result every time I step in front of the camera.

Fabian, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was setting up a photoshoot in East LA with the use and support of the Lowrider community. It's not easy to set up a shoot in East LA but talking to the community leaders and President of the Lowrider community was all instrumental in making this possible. Orange County hero of mine Mr. Puig also agreed to shoot the entire project. I collaborated with a female who was a skilled makeup artist and was able to do some visually captivating makeup. All in all, it was a complete success with the project that got the attention of LA's prominent talent scouts. It was a project that took months of planning and pulled through. It's one of my great accomplishments but inspires to push me to create bigger content. It was very satisfying knowing I can help put together a visually stunning photoshoot.

Fabian, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was collaborating with a female model that had plenty of experience in front of the camera. The shoot was to take place in Chinatown where the neon lights are at full force. With the custom fashion attire's me and the female collaborator put together was visually stunning and different from what we previously worked on. It was difficult as a fitness model because I had to cut water and salt for the entire day to give a lean look. Chinatown is extremely difficult to shoot without permits so the constant security had to be avoided. It turned out a great success overall.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be consistent and remember to have fun in the whole process. Modeling is about constant rejection and staying headstrong to continue forward. You can't allow yourself to take rejection personally or the outcome can be emotionally overwhelming. Believe that you can bring something to the whole artistic craft.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes of course. I think it's always everyone's dream to have a large brand use their aesthetics to showcase their product. I'm grateful for whoever takes interest to use me as their medium given that the content is respectful in its artistic taste. I look at brands like Ink Magazine, Sullen Clothing, and Forever 21 as extensions of my personality.
