I think people like to follow me on Instagram because they can have a look at my dream of being a leading endurance (24-hour races) cyclist.
Erik, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My greatest passion is cycling. I started to post some cycling pics on Instagram, and so I became the Dutch Brand Ambassador of Pactimo (cycling clothing).
Who is your inspiration in life Erik? How do you keep inspired?
Bradley Wiggens. This guy won the Tour the France wearing great 70's style sideburns. This guy isn't following trends but creates his own.
We all make mistakes Erik; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I haven't had a situation like that yet.
Erik, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Just have an open conversation. Ask the client what they want to show their audience.
Please tell us, Erik, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I was organising a cycling event, and I wanted my sponsor to sponsor the event. I had to have a close look at how we could make everyone happy.
Erik, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
When I applied for being a Brand Ambassador for Pactimo I had to convince them why I would be the right person. It was pretty heavy.
Erik, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
This was the moment Pactimo released their list of new Brand Ambassadors.
Erik, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
When you're a cycling model, you get great photo opportunities during the evrey ride. Sometimes I asked a friend to take a picture during a training ride. I think my strength is seeing the right photo opportunity.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Don't think you have to be perfect. Just be creative and look for your strengths.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I would love to do some more work for cycling related brands.
