Would you like to complete our full Editorial interview or skip straight to uploading your photos? (12 more interview questions).

Our readers would love to get to know you more Eric. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

What makes me unique is that I'm not the typical, average person. I stand out, I'm okay with not fitting in, and being outside the box. For many many years, I was teased because I didn't look like everyone else, but it didn't break me, and once I realized that, I knew i was capable of doing anything I put my mind to. I once had low self-esteem, and with God, I learned to love myself and love who he made me to be and that I'm perfect/wonderfully made. So now I encourage/uplift people about who they are, who they are going to be, where they are going, and that with God all things are possible.

Eric, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is modeling. It's crazy because as a kid, I used to play dress up, and act as if I was on the runway. Who would've known many years later that I actually would be modeling? So, I was already fashionable, and people knew that about me. My friend from high school (Kenneth Wynn), asked me to do my first shoot, and I said okay. I put the looks together, and we shot in various locations in Dtla (Downtown Los Angeles). After the shoot, and seeing the results of the shoot, I loved it! That's when I realized that this is what I really want to do and one of the things I was called to do. After posting them on Facebook, and getting great feedback from the photos, it was confirmation that modeling was perfect for me. My journey started in 2010 as a model.

Who is your inspiration in life Eric? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration in life is artists like Andre 3000, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West that paved the way of being different for my generation. That made me realize that its okay to be yourself. But most importantly my inspiration is Jesus Christ because he's the one I strive to be like every day. I keep getting inspired by continuing to go after all my dreams because I'm doing it for my family and friends so they don't have to struggle anymore. The many many people that I will be able to be a Blessing to throughout the nation. The many lives I will touch by spreading love joy and great energy. Uplifting others, giving people encouraging words and hope. That's what keeps me inspired.

We all make mistakes Eric, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Honestly, I haven't reached that point yet. Thank God.

Eric, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I prioritize by making sure I'm doing what It is that is needed for the task at hand so that it keeps the heat off of them.

Please tell us, Eric, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Well, when there are fashion shows, and you're dealing with a lot of models, you wanna make sure that you're asked what is needed so that the coordinator doesn't become more stressed out then what they already are. So, for me, I make sure that I'm on time, that I bring everything that was listed for the show, and to ask is there anything I can do to help, to take the load off the coordinator.

Eric, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I used to work at the Gap, they had a traditional standard that they required until I started working there. My style allowed them to open their eyes and see things in a different way of fashion. The many ways you can wear various styles of clothing, and the different perspectives.

Eric, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was seeing myself in a 10-page spread for Hypebeast magazine wearing the North Face brand. What made me so proud was that my mom, family, and friends were able to purchase the magazine I was in. That was the dopest feeling ever.

Eric, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
There have been many times where people would let me style them how I wanted it to look. From video shoots, concerts for my choir, photoshoots, poetry/music shows, and etc.... It's a beautiful feeling to see the outcome of what you envision in your mind, and it looks how-how you visioned it.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

My advice to those that want to model is okay with rejection. Don't let a no stop you from doing what you love. Many great and successful people have been rejected many many times before their big break. All it takes is one yes that can change your life! Keep going, never give up, succeed through all restrictions, and with God all things are possible.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I look forward to collaborating with clothing brands, shoe brands, jewelry brands, electronic brands, and etc....
