My favorite pass time is going to concerts. I have a love for music and enjoy the music festival culture. I save up money all year long to be able to go to some festivals in the summer.
Emma, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I want to go back to school for fashion journalism after pursuing my dream of modelling. I started modelling when I came in contact to a very good photographer in Indianapolis, Corey Night. We started working together on shoots, and soon enough other photographer reached out to me. It has been shooting for fun so far, but I'm hoping to take this love of mine to the next level.
Who is your inspiration in life Emma? How do you keep inspired?
Chance the Rapper is a huge inspiration for me. I have been a huge fan of his since he was working on his earlier albums and I can relate to his struggles and how he overcame them. I want to be able to lead organisations and foundations and help fund things I believe in as he did for CPS school in Chicago. I want to be a strong individual who has a great relationship with God. Chance is an individual who is all that!
We all make mistakes Emma; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I was beginning a lot of photographers were really into intimate art, and that produced very sexy shoots. I am very comfortable with my body, but I wish I dealt with the pressure a little better. However, I love all the photos that came from those shoots.
Emma, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I haven't come across this situation yet in my career but looking forward I would make a strict outline of my week and know what I can handle or not. I would never take on something that I knew I couldn't deliver. However, when I'm determined, I work hard. I want to work hard to get to the top; I think that's what it is all about. Working hard to get somewhere in life makes the feeling of getting there so much better.
Please tell us, Emma, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
There have been countless times where I have given up hanging out with friends or family because a pop-up shoot came up. I have cancelled on so many people because I want to do as many shots as I could. I love modelling. I know that seems so minor, but I think it's because I am just beginning
Emma, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I was able to work with a lot of aspiring photographers that are up and coming. I wound the use the word persuade but we were able to work together, and I was able to try a lot of poses and see what worked on my own.
Emma, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The first agency I talked to end up wanting to sign me on the spot the moment they saw me. It was a huge boost of confidence. It made me think " hmm well I'm not crazy I have the look and potential." I didn't end up signing with them, but it made me want to work so much harder.
Emma, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I did a shoot with my dear friend, and he said: "I am following you today". So I walked around my city and set up my shots and styled myself. It was so much fun, and I was so impressed with the final product.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Be prepared for failure. You know if you want something you have to be ok with failing before you succeed and in this industry, you can fail ten times before you succeed.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
