I love being outdoors and being active. Playing volleyball, hiking, and going to the gym. I love showing people through my pictures that you should feel beautiful in your skin. Oldest of 4 siblings, I try and be the best role model I can for them.
Emilee, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is to work and give back to disabled children. I hope to one day be an occupational therapist and open my clinic. I have always loved taking pictures but after I was a brand rep for my senior picture company (persona Studios) I have loved it even more. Modelling really boosts your self-esteem and allows you to feel beautiful, and your skin and I believe everyone should experience being comfortable in their skin.
Who is your inspiration in life Emilee? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is my little siblings because they make me push myself to be the best role model I can for them. I keep inspired knowing that they watch and follow my every move and I want to show them that they are beautiful, special, and unique no matter what.
We all make mistakes Emilee; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Listening to your photographer is important. I wish I could take back the time I didn't listen to them because they were directing me in the position to get the best photo but I did what I thought would be best and we didn't end up getting the perfect photo like we could have.
Emilee, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
As being a college student I go around my school schedule and prioritise my clients by whoever can work best around my schedule and trying to fit everyone in, school comes first!
Please tell us, Emilee, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I don't let my plate get too full so, I can do my best in each shoot.
Emilee, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I am an easy an easy going person and am willing to hear out both sides. I will listen and take in opinions or ideas from someone, and if I'm not sure about them, I will give it a try. If I still don't like the idea, I will tell them my idea or opinion and either agree to disagree or find a way to incorporate both!
Emilee, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was getting my first "big girl" job. I work as a behavioural therapist and am certified to train new therapist. This is the proudest moment for me because I am headed on the right path to my future career, and I think I've got a head start!
Emilee, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I love trying new poses and even outfits that I would have never thought of doing before. Sometimes being out of your comfort zone gets the best photos. My photographer gave me an outfit that I would have never thought I could pull off I was able to put my style to it and we got one of my favourite pictures!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I would tell them to be confident in their work and comfortable in their skin. Be creative and don't be afraid to try something new!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I would be willing to collaborate with brands!
