Our readers would love to get to know you more Elisa. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
Whatever you think most people would eat or watch on TV, I'm always the opposite. I am not always easy to read.
Elisa, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion in life is to always be happy in whatever I am doing and in any situation. I aspire to be genuinely happy throughout my entire life. Modeling makes me happy. I love seeing how one slight movement of the body can give a photo a completely different feel.
Who is your inspiration in life Elisa? How do you keep inspired?
My parents inspire me every day. They always made sure I had everything and I can't wait to give them everything in return 10x more.
We all make mistakes Elisa, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Being a model means your emails are always overflowing with inquiries. There was an instance where I did not get back to a photographer in a timely manner to receive my edited photos. I am still working on how to handle my emails in a more effective order.
Elisa, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
First come first serve.
Please tell us, Elisa, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I always have days where I will shoot in the morning, afternoon and then have meetings on the other side of town. Simply going with the flow is normally my strategy. Having an actual plan never seems to work out in the city of Los Angeles.
Elisa, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
As a model, there will always be someone who wants you to step outside of your comfort zone and even too far outside of it at times. I have had to let several photographers know what I am and am not comfortable with when it comes to wardrobe. I just simply stated my terms and it was either my way or the highway :)
Elisa, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Receiving my first bikini publication is my most proud moment thus far. It was completely unexpected and exciting. It definitely let me know to keep going and not let nonsupporters get in my way!
Elisa, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I recently did a shoot with braids. I usually stick to the whole universal wavy, straight or curly hair, but I felt I needed a different look in my portfolio. It was definitely difficult to improvise the poses not having any loose hair to play with but I managed to make it work.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Saying no is ok. There will always be more opportunities out there so that you don't need to lower your standards due to the pressure of what someone else wants you to do. Also, do your research. Don't waste your time shooting with someone who cannot produce the quality you are looking for.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes. I would love to collaborate with makeup artists, designers and also fashion brands for upcoming fashion shoots.
