As it is said-' unique like everyone'. It's hard to pinpoint.Me being me is my uniqueness. Real, grounded, God, fearing to make for me. A unique part of my nature is extremely modern independent and progressive-minded but still, want some good old charm.. old-fashioned in some aspects. Extremely comfortable in my company.
Donna, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is fitness and my job. I aspire to be successful in every endeavour. To eventually open a grooming /training school for aspiring models. I started modelling as a means to get into music. But once in the job. There has been no turning back. Love every bit of it. As a profession. It's taught me so much.
Who is your inspiration in life Donna? How do you keep inspired?
I guess my mother. She sadly is no more. But every day I'm inspired to be my best because of her. Just the fact that I wake up in the morning... to another day inspires me.
We all make mistakes Donna; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
My mistakes... lol... ummm. I tilt towards having a bit of OCD... so while travelling for work. I was sharing with a rather untidy model. I tried making everything tidy which didn't go down quite well. I've learnt to try ignoring stuff a little since then...
Donna, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Understanding the brief and requirement makes the job easier. Once you get that done... productivity flows.
Please tell us, Donna, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
If it's on the list... its a priority... penning it... and giving time slots helped.
Donna, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
While shooting... a certain number of creations were fixed. On exceeding. I had to reason with the designer of losing light as well as weather conditions going wrong. The heat was draining and exhausting. The entire team packed up there After.
Donna, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Sorry. I genuinely have one too many. Every time a designer tells me I've done justice to his/her creation. I feel proud. Hehe.
Donna, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Modelling is an extension of creativity... getting my hair chopped at a shoot ... for a shot ...was super exciting. The results....... awesome!!!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
It says if you think you got it... go for it. But remember. It's not just about glamour. It's a serious profession and involves a lot of discipline and patience and perseverance. Being yourself is the best bet when it comes to confidence.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Looking for collaborations that would help me in establishing a modelling school shortly.
