Beluna brand was launched in 2017, by Diana Beluna. Diana is an artist with a talent coming from her Serbian great-grandfather, who was a great painter portraitist and naturalist.

Diana started her artistic journey with surrealism paintings at Art Academy in Riga. After getting familiar and inspired by high fashion collections and famous designers, the idea of transformation and going for something more lead our designer to the next level of self- expression.

Diana, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Designer?

In 2005 she started to work on customised pre-ordered paintings on jeans garments and hoodies for her friends and customers. Each piece is unique and special crystallised with Swarovski. First complex debut design work with sketching, construction, sewing and drawing on was the dress for graduation. More than 3000 Swarovski were used for the drawing decoration. The dress Haute couture, right in details, unforgettable and mind-blowing.

Who is your inspiration in life Diana? How do you keep inspired?

Inspired by the stunning result more items were created in a chic, classy style with decorative elements. The main inspiration was got from Alexander McQueen, Roberto Cavalli baroque and antique collections, D&G, Balmain, Versace, YSL and favourite.

We all make mistakes Diana, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Designer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

To have more self-confidence and knowledge to push my talent & designs further.

Diana, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

My core idea to sick to is always: customisation, personalisation, each item special, high quality. Invest time and accuracy. Business attitude and politeness to all customers in terms of inconvenience.

Please tell us, Diana, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?

Diana, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

In 2015, the designer decided to establish a brand and worked on the logo. The logo reflects the correlation between the name of the designer where BELUNA means in Italian « Bella luna» - beautiful moon and the name Diana means: «goddess of moon» what totally reflects the vision and idea of the designer's future collection. Diana Beluna: «what can be more beautiful than night starring sky and shine of the moon. Real temptation and great inspiration come at night. Best carouse and fun, except at night time. Isn't it magics? » 
Logo reflects all the ideas and combines them in strong sign.

Diana, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

In 2017 BELUNA collection «Magics of night» got launched. Each garment has a reflection of the night theme and space. Light tulle textile, lace, stars, deep darkness of space and stardust shine.

Diana, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

To get inspiration from surrounding architecture, colors, trends and come out with stunning design items.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Designer?

Believe in yourself, keep moving. Never listen to the people, who pull you back, because they never can do magic as you and they don't see the world as you do.
