Our readers would love to get to know you more DeVogue . Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
I am a twenty-seven year old model who survived three types of cancer. Who was betrayed by my mother and sold to different men? I started modeling to learn to love myself and see that I am beautiful despite my scars and fear. While breaking down my fears I learned, I could be a beacon to other woman facing the same thing I was and stilling beating. Like my company name implies I am spreading my flaming wings and fly to my freedom of fear and shame.
DeVogue, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I want to help others beat the fear that they let hold them back from realizing their dreams. So I finally listened to my advice and started after my dream of modeling last year.
Who is your inspiration in life DeVogue? How do you keep inspired?
Lauren Becal was someone I always looked up to she was fearless and beautiful.
We all make mistakes DeVogue; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I thankfully have not had a regret or mistake during a shoot.
DeVogue, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I will ask questions and look at them to see how to meet them best to make everyone a little happy. Making everyone completely happy is impossible since everyone has a different eye. However, taking others advice and fine tuning it can make some amazing results.
Please tell us DeVogue, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
One time I did not have my car, so I took a two-hour lift ride to make a shoot. Then I had to take a five-hour bus ride back after I was able to complete it.
DeVogue, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I had to work with a photographer that only wanted to do beauty shots. I was able to talk him into doing some more adventurous shots using some sword props. We came out with some amazing images that he still uses now.
DeVogue, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
That moment was when I did my first artistic nude shoot. I was terrified. However, I remembered my moto that I can only fly after falling for so long. After I looked at the images, I was filled with such a sense of pride and strength.
DeVogue, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was able to do some fun shots with Holi powder. I would never have tried it, but I am glad I did the images are amazing.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
*
Don't let your fear hold you back from trying, use it to make you think but never let it go beyond that. Have regrets of trying not of never doing it in the first place.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I have an open mind, so I am not holding myself to just one or a few.
Now for the best part DeVogue ! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
