ABOUT

I am intrigued by people. I connect with people very easily and am moved by them

Dennis, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Designer?

It all began when I went to London for the first time. I came across Portobello Market and became completely infatuated by the old jewellery I saw there. The vintage pieces, which featured semi-precious stones, moved me and sparked my need to begin designing.

I began designing jewellery eight years ago, and three years later I launched my brand "Boudoir By Dennis P".

My designs are inspired by Greece's history and culture, as I combine Ancient Greek and Roman jewellery styles with geometry and edginess. I am very passionate about making every piece unique, with great care and creativity. My ultimate goal is to be able to have my designs be a part of significant moments in people's lives.

Who is your inspiration in life Dennis? How do you keep inspired?

Many different things around me cultivate my inspiration. I can become inspired by an image, by a beautiful sunset, by different cultures and even by the personality of the person who I am making a design for.

Living passionately keeps me inspired.

We all make mistakes Dennis; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Designer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

We all make mistakes, and through our mistakes, we learn. I wouldn't change anything in my past because all of my experiences, good and bad have contributed to making who I am as a person and a professional.

Dennis, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

For me, every client is unique, and I always try to take on a workload that I know I can handle at one time.

Please tell us, Dennis, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?

For Wyclef Jean and Xenia Ghali's music video, I had to design jewellery for both artists as well as ten dancers. It was incredibly difficult to handle because of the tight time frame and the amount of people. A lot of the designs were complete body pieces which required a lot of work. Through careful time management and almost 24/7 work, I managed to design all the pieces successfully! This is a moment in my career I still am very proud of.

Dennis, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

One of the most significant moments in my career was when I approached an extremely credible fashion and celebrity stylist because I wanted to work with her. This was at the beginning of my career, and therefore she was a little hesitant. She gave me the opportunity to work with her on a music video. I worked incredibly hard and produced some of the best work. She was thrilled with the designs and established a long lasting working relationship.

Dennis, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I have been blessed with many incredible moments and experiences in my career so far. One of my proudest moments was when my work was featured in Vogue Italy.

Dennis, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

This is a very difficult question because I am always very creative with my work.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Designer?

Be passionate, dream big and strive for even bigger goals and of course be hard working. It is a competitive and difficult industry, so hard work, commitment and set yourself apart by being unique is vital.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I would love to collaborate with fashion designers, brands, with magazines and with creatives including artists, actors and other influencers.
