My name is Dean Cummins; I am 18 Years old, I study Level 3 diploma in Photography. As a young photographer, I inspire to be a Professional in fashion and portrait photography. I also run my own small business at home that includes portrait, Commercial and event photography.

I specialize in Fashion and portrait that includes studio-based work and also location work I love to work out in the countryside and get the rural portraits.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Dean. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I am young 18-year-old photographer passionate about portraiture where this could take me in future

Dean, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion as a young photographer is to make a successful life out my work from becoming well know in the portrait or fashion photography industry by photographing for popular brands like ( Nike,Adidas, next,) companies that we all know and love but I would also want to do travel around the America and visit new place of natural beauty.

I started taking an interest in photography when I first started secondary school when I was about (12/13 ish) and my brother taking photography at gases and seeing the different type of work that he created so this inspired me to go out and self-teach myself how to take photos with his DSLR camera, later that year the school was holding a photo contest that me and my brother both entered and I got 1st prize over my brother for a winter landscape scene this is where my passion started.

Who is your inspiration in life Dean? How do you keep inspired?

a lot of my inspiration is from the photographer of Instagram and famous vloggers and photographer from around the world like Jesse Wellens from youtube to Dylan Furst of Instagram to famous photographers like Rankin

We all make mistakes Dean; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
My biggest mistake is not sharing my best work to the world because people might try and steal my work

Dean, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I like to work out plan of when and what if each client so I can spend the best amount of time on their project, so it is completed to the highest standard of work

Please tell us, Dean, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

as a photographer, my top priorities is to make great photos, but those photos are there to the tell story that I could not put into words

Dean, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I had this couple on a portrait shoot that only wanted me to photograph them in one location because it meant things to them, in the shoot I felt the location was not what they thought I was going to be like so I persuaded them to come down a rural pathway down towards the woods so I could capture some beautiful portraits of them not them in the location that they wanted.

Dean, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want with share to everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a photographer so far in my life has to be photographing a firework display using long exposure and just enjoying my evening when I capture the most breath taking photo that you could imagine of firework exploding this makes me so proud because I was about to pack up when I could see them lighting some fireworks that didn't go off so I waited to capture the last photos, and it has proven to me that last photos are nearly you best photo.

Dean, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
This is a very recent example at my college in our project we all have to do the same theme, so when I could see a lot of people was getting roughly the same image I thought to myself how can I change and I came up about how can change the background colour and use props to change the atmosphere and this was fun but also creative because I try to think some thing out of the box and not be too simple in what I do.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

work until your idols become your rivals
