We all are unique in our way; I like to believe that I am creative, I try to build a strong relationship with my clients, make them feel beautiful and confident.
Dana, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Make-up Artist?
I started as a self-thaught makeup artist, and after a year and a half, I attended a professional makeup course, followed by several masterclasses.
Who is your inspiration in life Dana? How do you keep inspired?
I admire and follow artists like Lisa Eldrige, Alex Box, but I like to mix the Hollywood makeup style with techniques learned from Russian and ucranian makeup artists.
We all make mistakes Dana; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Make-up Artist; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There was a time I wish I had better skills regarding timing and working at the same time with a hairstylist.
Dana, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Make-up Artist, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I always chose quality over quantity. I try to identify and listen to my clients' needs, and spending most of the time making the skin look its best and enhance their features.
Please tell us, Dana, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Make-up Artist?
When discussing a future collaboration with a beauty salon, i had to analyse the pro and cons of working with them and try not to make any compromises.
Dana, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
The best way to show your skills is by showing them how you do makeup, step by step
Dana, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Make-up Artist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
When I was hired at the Chanel counter in Sephora, in one of the best selling stores in my city.
Dana, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
At a photo shoot where we had no idea what we were going to. But we all came up with ideas and the result was more than satisfying.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Make-up Artist?
To start from 0, nomatter how much they think they know, taking a professional makeup course. It is so important to learn the basic techniques in makeup from a good trainer. To practice a lot and be confident
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am open to any collaborations, but more on the beauty style makeup.
