Alright, now for the interview! Firstly Dana, how would you best describe yourself?
Fashion Designer

Our readers would love to get to know you more Dana. Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far.
I I am chronically ill with breast cancer. I love designing Swimwear to help women feel beautiful regardless of scars or no scars. It helps me to focus on the present and helping others.

Would you like to complete our full Editorial interview or skip straight to uploading your photos?
Keep interviewing me!

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Dana?
I would like to be taken seriously as a Swimwear designer meaning moving up towards presenting the line worldwide so I can bring awareness to breast cancer and body image.

How do you communicate with people Dana? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
Yes, I love talking with people. I have always been a people person. I talk mostly on social media which opens the world up to me.

If you had to do it over again, what would you change Dana?
I would not be diagnosed with breast cancer although I know there was a reason for this path to be created. I would have never been a fashion designer if it were not for cancer.

Who is your hero Dana, and how have they helped you get to where you are?
My husband is my hero. He has been by my side since day one and has encouraged me to move forward with the line.

How important are creative education courses Dana? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
I have taken art history courses in my undergrad and another hand on courses such as art and communication. I think they are important to help people see how art is a major part of our world. It helps to express our concerns and even political viewpoints

Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
Yes be patient and do not rush with your process.

Please add any photo credits for the photos you uploaded so that everybody can get recognised.
