I am 21, I have 2 very successful business & am lucky to enjoy both of them. I am very creative & caring; I love working with children and owning a model/ talent agency is something I used to dream of. It's a family business as my Mother & Sister are shareholders. My sister is a Scout for a well-known agency worldwide, so she has the eye for scouting. We offer opportunities for budding models & only accept the best of the best!
Daisy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model Agency?
My passion is to be successful in whatever I do. My business _„ñBraids by Dais_„ is very successful and has a large following already. I was approached by many clothing brands/ magazines to do the hair for children on a shoot; once I got into that industry I had the urge to stay in it; so I created my agency! It was hard work to start-up bu I can only hope my second business venture is as successful
Who is your inspiration in life, Daisy? How do you stay inspired as a Model Agency?
My inspiration isn't a person; it's a mindset. I think that once I set my mind to something, I have to achieve the goal and never to give up. I now manage 12 girls age 0-16 & I teach them how to have a positive mindset.
We all make mistakes, Daisy; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
The one mistake I've made in the past was not starting up my own business sooner. I worked in dead-end jobs since leaving school, and I always think if I started this business after leaving school, where might I be now!
Daisy, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I think I am very approachable, polite & well mannered. We have worked with a very good photographer in London who picked up on how well behaved and polite the children were & he also recommended us to other photographers & potential clients.
Please tell us, Daisy, how do you prioritize work, social life, friends, and family?
As I'm self-employed, I try to split the time equally, but because I have a passion for what I do, my friends and family understand that it's my choice whether I work late, etc. But usually, I stop working around 9 pm on most days.
Daisy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I recently was invited to do a location shoot; once I arrived, I picked up on a lot of things I thought would be better changed. I pushed forward my ideas, and they heard what I had to say and changed everything. The shoot was extremely successful.
Daisy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model Agency.
My proudest moment was watching my girls being tested in London with photographer Daniel Scheel and considering none of them had ever done anything like this before they all worked so well together. Also, another proud moment was being approached by huge brands requesting the children for castings.
Daisy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
A time where I was able to be creative was with my business braids by Dais, I was invited to a shoot and given 1 hour to create a hairstyle that had never been done before. It was an amazing feeling being complimented on something you've created yourself.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model Agency?
I would say, read a lot of articles, have a positive mindset, don't accept people for the sake of it, aim to have one child that looks nothing like the others, work hard.
